FEMINISM OR SEXISM

Seeing as Ms Palin used a self description related to a pitbull, I think she is lucky she was not compared to a female pitdog while wearing lipstick. Considering the lies and slander thrown on Obama to date by a true bunch of inbreds, I'd say Obama really pulled this punch quite a bit as he has throughout this slanderous, no policy campaign waged by McCain and his Bushmen long before Palin decided to enter the fray. If you want to run with the big dogs, do so at your own risk, don't snivel when volleys are returned word for word. Is this a secist thing to protect Palin only? From where I sit I'd say yes, and if she wants to sell skin, try bathing suits in Sports Illustrated.

AMERICANS ARE NOT ACTING RATIONALLY

It seems like many need to reinforce their own beliefs as they continue to overlook facts and constantly revert to innuendoes of PAST aquaintances of Obama as their only avenue to follow, acting much like a third grade student who repeatedly says, "I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU"! Grow up folks, get rid of the emotions, become at a minimum, semi educated to the problems you face so you can correctly choose who has the best remedy. You might even try the same thing for choosing a doctor and cause medical costs to shrink. If you are racist, proudly state the fact, hell, wear a sheet over yourself, be the best you can at everything you do. you can't stay in the closet forever.

AIP TODAY

I am extremely excited on nearly every issue Salon puts forth and wish to thank all for all they do. I am a Viet Vet living on 800 VA dollars per (@68%disability) month or I would be more than proud to donate to the cause. I was torn in two reading the "Freindly Fire" article as it occurred time and time again in Viet Nam with the same condescending results from the "Brass". Words are not enough on this issue.

I was uplifted considerably though by your interview on CNN regarding the Palins and their involvement with AIP in Alaska. Truth is always the best course to take and in both this issue and the "Friendly Fire" issue truth is void as was the Palins political leanings.

Thanks again for your endeavors in bringing truth to the media.

how dangerous could an ASSOCIATION whith Ayers be?

When it comes to Ayers or the SLA or Black Panthers or any of the 60-70 era radicals, I think back to the time it happened, throw away young pundits BS, realize most of the people involved were never imprisoned, usually due to issues which they were fighting, like illegal wiretapping, and other infringements on constitutional rights, think about what we face now, and wonder about who is more dangerous, them ? Or my fellow citizens who out of one side of their mouth cry for constitutionality to be restored and out of the other side cry about folks who stood up for those roights. I go even further back to one of our founding fathers who was adamant about the second amendment for reasons he stated as a need for a revolution from time to time to weed out those who would most certainly be corrupted when given absolute power. Now when all is apples and not apples and oranges , the brainwashing behind me, and I formulate my own thoughts, I think my fellow citizens are far more dangerous as they continue to operate in a psychopathic state daily.

GENDER OR NAPOLEAN SYNDROME

It is very obvious when a male pundit uses sexism. It is not so obvious when a female pundit does. What is very obvious to me is the Napolean or Little person syndrome , such as evidenced by the Lady from Fla. as she compared a different math approach to our already in place graduated taxation as SOCIALISTIC and then wanted to brand someone with the new N word of today. It was obvious to anyone with non jaded eyes that this pundit had a direct confrontational approach rather than one of intellect, one which she meant to do damage with.

Ms Brown did the same re: campaign finance.

It does not have to do with gender IMHO, it all comes down to feeling good in a position of control. An assuredness if you will, that when coupled with intellect can bring to the front all pertinent information so ALL can consume and digest the information which is free flowing.

I guarantee that a more intellectual approach is what has made people of fame in the news/talk show industry more than one of low class, totally confrontational mannerisms, within both genders.

Little guy/gal syndrome fails everytime, ask Mike Tyson.

THEY ALWAYS KILL THE MESSENGER

It never ceases to amaze me how soon the cause is forgotten and how many times they shoot the messenger. Had there been no protests against Viet Nam we would still be there, had there been none over Iraq we would still have no exit strategy. Yet those responsible for the larger number of deaths continue on unquestioned by the "SUPPOSED" authoritarian pundits.

Recently Iraq posing demands for US withdrawal on a set and timed level of withdrawal, and Obama still being shot down for mentioning such a drastic thought as a plan to ease the pain and save what little face the USA has in the world.

More is better in the case of resolving illegal and immoral wars , and the level of participation is most important. Unfortunately most Americans have no recall today of yesterday, let alone yester year, and so their cause is killing the messenger, over and over.

What an excercise in stupidity.
