Polls have not been a good indicator at this point in the campaign in past elections. If anything the polls suggest that Obama will lose badly. The media appears to prefer Obama and that should be good for many percentage points in the polls by now. The problem is that the more coverage Obama gets, the poorer he does in the polls. It seems that we don't really care for the positions that he has. As a Democrat I feel that our leaders lost there way when they became anti-business socialists. His views are in lockstep with those of our leadership. Right now I think that Congress has a single digit approval rating. Why should we be surprised by these polls?

Joe should know that we are about to suffer the consequences of the dumbing down of America. I want everyone to remember this year because it will be the turning point to greater poverty in the world. Government is only a small fraction as efficient as the private sector. As government grows under the Dems, so will world poverty.

When I was growing up in San Francisco I learned that conservatives were uneducated, closed minded, stupid, overly religious, greedy, self centered and angry people. Now that I have recovered I see that all of that perspective was taught to make liberals feel superior to conservatives. Liberals have transformed their belief structure into a religious in its own right. Now they are applying it to Palin. She is conservative, therefore she is stupid. Biden is liberal therefore he is smart.

Nice try. The fact is that the only way to offset increased business expenses and hardships is to cut taxes. That's the way the income statement works.

All of the programs presented by the current administration are negative to the income statement. And on top of that they want to stupidly raise taxes.

So profits are down with no hope from Obama for improvement and there are some very real threats against profits. Threats like labor laws, cap and trade, healthcare legislation in addition to new and increased taxes.

Business is afraid of what Obama may bring. He is a disaster. The academic in chief is not up to the job.
