To be honest..

I don't care what race he is, or gender she is. I want an intelligent, thoughtful, forward thinking, and truly committed and concerned individual to work at leading this nation back to...something worthwhile. This isn't a reality show folks, this is realty. We are way off course in the 'ideals of our founding fathers' department...its a shame. I'm left of center and still undecided. I'd have considered John Edwards until I saw that video of him getting his hair done. Ok, I am biased as a hairdresser but let me tell you as a hairdresser...that was freakin creepy and wholly un-presidential. Kinda like flipping the bird and this current loser. Weird. I wanna a really GREAT person to lead us...whatever hue or shape or ?? they appear.

Ive felt this way a little too...

Ive been watching too much PBS is what I told myself and others nod in agreement. Oh my, that colony collapse disorder really hit me hard. Too much information can make you feel a little crazy-ish. Ive given up thinking we can clean up the mess and am now all in favor of adaptation. Along with being green...plan for the future...quick!!!! Acceptance is where I am aiming (while I consider how to go all Sarah Conner on my daughter) and indeed living in the now. Just in case. It does feel like the sky is falling and I work hard at resisting that fear. We cant know whats next. Thats for sure. Hey, but just in case we are all doomed wouldn't it be great to try being nice to everyone for a change? Just acknowledging our common bond of humanness on this big delicate rock. Its never too late, is it? Ah well, whatever the future holds I plan on going out laughing and smiling.

Emotion addicts...

are usually all over the place like this guy. They crave intense everything. Not just success and happiness but also intense failure, sadness, angst, anger, bitterness, regret, guilt and so on and so on. Finding out that life is made up of lots of little ups and downs blended with a LOT of middle ground boring stuff and a few really big ups and downs to tie it all together. In the end it is you who chooses to see how your life works out. I'm amazed that guy had any time or energy to get anything done at all considering how much time he spent over-thinking it all. Life is for living. Being in the now, present, is how we truly experience life. Sure some planning, even dreaming is part of the journey but don't forget to check out the view on the way to the destination. I assume he must still be in his twenties. Not a great time for many. This ever pressuring world making it worse I have noticed. One foot in front of the other and keep your chin up and oh hell yeah get some therapy fast. Bill Gates didn't take a direct course either. He enrolled at Harvard College in the fall of 1973 intending to get a pre-law degree, but did not have a definite study plan and eventually left without his degree. (Source Wikipedia). He seems to have done fine taking his own path.

My daughter...

always tells people when asked if we are related (I look young and I guess too hip to have a 25 year old kid, so we get asked a lot) "well I used to live in her uterus" I have referred to myself as a 'Gen X minimalist breeder chick bitch'. I am a woman who just happens to be proud that I am my daughter's mother. I guess I didn't like the term either at one point but once I was one I grew into it nicely. I am a woman, a feminist, an artist, a sexy thang, a bitch, a force to be reckoned with, a big mouth, a wild child, a silly girl, a strong broad and yes amongst many other things I am and proudly a Mom.
