I love the fact that you have Hillary, plumbers, and Nixon all mentioned in the same post! Much irony there!
But really -- you think what we need is an an unexciting Nixon in a pantsuit?
If you want a competent plumber, any of the Dems can fix a leaky pipe. They all have successful administrative, legislative, executive and legal experience out the wazoo.
But you have a flood of massive proportions right now, and Hillary and her handy wrench just won't cut it.

Tell me not only how Obama and Clinton would differ from one another on policy, but how either would differ from McCain?
Uh, the big issue, the HUGE example... McCain has said he'd stay in Iraq for 100 years if necessary, and Obama and Clinton both intend to get the U.S. out of Iraq as quickly as possible.
Oh, and let's not forget -- McCain supported the absurd war in Iraq from Day One and still does, in fact, he thinks we should send MORE troops, Hillary supported it until it went sour and wasn't a political asset for her anymore, and Obama NEVER supported it.
How's that for one glaring example of them differing from one another, AND McCain?
That's all....
just sending some love to soopergrover for speaking the 100% honest truth, and saying it well, in a terrific post...
@wintun... you ask, WWOD? Well, it's all right there...

Obama is not a figment of the media's imagination, and he's not another "guy to have a beer with."
That's not to say that his policies vary that much from Hillary or Edwards.
But that's not why Obama is soaring.
Obama is pulling ahead because America -- red state America, blue state America, AND many others -- intuitively, instinctively know they need a LEADER with vision, heart, and the ability to inspire passion and confidence. They are recognizing the value of this brilliant, charismatic, eloquent, multicultural man.
This is why it doesn't matter a whit that Barack hasn't been a Senator for 20 years, hasn't been married to a president, or that Hillary has 30 years of "politics" experience. In fact, those are his SELLING POINTS to much of America that is sickened by the red state/blue state partisan divide and culture wars.
We need someone with vision, charisma, personality and strength of character to start undoing the damage of the Bush/Neocon administration.
And as a tired politician who was not only a victim of, but an enabler of the Bush/Neocon/Republicans, Hillary is not that person.
She knows it. American knows it. The world knows it.
I don't think any man running on that record would do any better.
Hey anonymous -- Barack Obama has been an ELECTED public official several years longer than Hillary Clinton.
Year of being the wife of a governor and the wife of a president do not constitute "experience" that translates to being able to LEAD a country.
The Clintons are getting hysterical, and attacking Obama every which way they can, because they are DESPERATE.
Obama could have gloated, he could have said that it was clear that the Clintons are getting desperate, but he was restrained, and passed up the obvious opportunity to take some potshots that the media handed to him.
If the tables had been or are turned in the future, you think Hillary or Bill would/will refrain from trashing Barack in the same situation.
HAH!
