Good for Her!!

Lord knows she's not the greatest actress or singer or beauty, but the girl has managed to keep a career going for more than a decade without regularly being in the media for getting drunk, running into things with her car, popping out babies and abandoning them, getting photographed doing drugs, going in and out of rehab, having a millionaire family, releasing a sex tape, or being anorexic.

And now, she has taken a papararazzi stock in trade -- the unflattering photo of a celeb -- and turned it on its ear, by making it a message for girls everywhere.

I don't care who you are -- nobody wants a photo or their cellulite-butt on national mags and blogs. But there she is. (Hey, at least it's not a mug shot, right? Though these days, the paps would probably have you believe that it's better for your career than cellulite and an ample bum.) And she turned it around and made it something good.

She went up a whole lotta notches in my book with her statement.

And damn, I'd take having her figure vs. my own on her WORST day.

Here's the pic in question -- it's not the front shot now on TMZ

for some reason, TMZ has changed the original photo and is now showing a front view that is actually very flattering to JLH.

Here's the photo they originally posted and that is the one causing all the uproar. The usual stick thin Hewitt has hips, yes, but "overweight" or "fat?" NO WAY!!! She does have some cellulite, which, as many women know, can appear on even the thinnest girls.

Thank You Gary....

What a beautiful gift for Celeste, and for all of us.

I raise my glass to you, for making me stop and think about how fortunate I am to have two wonderful children.

And my almost ten year old daughter also believes in Santa, as I did...and still do! ;-)

This is Manufacturered, Packaged and Ghostwritten

Scherer, has all critical reason escaped you? Isn't it OBVIOUS that this is a marketing creation?

"Hmmm...let's figure out how to sell creepy old Grandpa McCain to the 20-somethings. So, how do we reach them? Why, a BLOG, of course. And we'll make it Meghan's, and she'll blog breezily about stuff that 20-somethings are interested in, like being a bottle blonde, and cool boots, and tattoos, and music, but she'll throw in lots of asides to try to subtly suggest her father is not really a one-foot-in-the-grave-stick-up-his-butt Conservative."

How can you not see this??????????

There is NOTHING authentic about this blog. It's a PR creation, and you and other members of the media have clearly been snookered royally if you believe it's actually her own creation or writing.

Our Prediction for 2008: Salon Shills for Hillary...Again...and Again...and Again...

And there you have it.

Despite her feeble protests to the contrary, it's obvious that Joan desperately wants a job with a Clinton Administration.

Now Shapiro's apparently bucking for his own West Wing job with Mrs. C.

Just watch. They'll be covertly and overtly bashing Obama (as they've been doing so viciously since early on) and Edwards, and doing whatever they can to raise Hillary up.

If you think you're going to get unbiased coverage of the Democratic race at Salon, think again...

Because Salon 2008 is going to be one big sycophantic online job application for Salon staff/Hillary Clinton administration wannabes.

Salon's Love Letters to Hillary....

are really just overly sycophantic job applications...badly disguised.

Joan, Walter, and the lot of them are apparently slavering over the prospect of West Wing jobs. Joan, at least, has been for months, as has been evident by her almost clockwork Obama-bashing, as well as her editorial oversight of a laundry list of nonsensical, non-journalistic anti-Obama crap from the likes of Debra Dickenson, Paglia, et. al.

Looks like a number of the Salon-ites, with Joan in the lead -- have their future career trajectory planned...West Wing job, then tv pundit gig...They all want to be George Stephanopolous.

Yes, the "stealth" support for Hillary, not always especially stealth for that matter, while proclaiming that Salon is unbiased, is getting old old old.

I'd have more respect for Salon and Joan if you just came right out, like the Editorial board of the newspapers, and endorsed Hillary, because then you'd at least be intellectually honest about the bias to your coverage.

Right now, your claims of impartiality put you squarely in the camp of Fox News claiming to be "fair and balanced."

She Will Be With You Forever

You will always carry the memory of that little girl in your mind. Because when you considered her referral, you gave her a piece of your heart, forever.

It's that way with adoption.

You can't help but give away bits of your heart throughout the process.

You give away your heart to the baby whose referral you accept, but whose adoption doesn't work out due to reasons beyond your control.

You give away your heart to the special babies who catch your eye at an orphanage or foster home, the ones you can't take home, but wish with all your heart you can.

You give away your heart to the poor children on the street of the country you are adopting from -- the ones who, hands out for a few cents, look at you pleadingly...you look at them and think that any one of them could have been your son or daughter in just a few years, and your heart breaks.

I believe that the children meant to be with us come to us, and so that little girl was not meant to be with you. But the fact that she is your thoughts means that maybe another child is meant to be with you.

I have a biological daughter, and we also adopted a son from Guatemala. It's wonderful to have these two special children in my life.

After you've had your biological baby, keep your heart open. There may be room to consider another adoption...because there are so many babies without special needs who need loving families.
