Is snoring all they're taking refuge from
[Read the article: Sleeping together, but not sleeping together]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Do people over 60 snore and hog the covers move than younger people? My understanding is that some of the devices/techniques for curing snoring actually do work, at least on some cases.

25 years ago, about, in Milwaukee I think,
[Read the article: Swedish sex shop bombing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]a woman walked into an adult bookstore, poured gas all over herself, and lit it on fire in a conscious effort to reprise the role of Buddhist monks in Vietnam in protesting and bringing down the regime, only this time as a salvo in the feminist (anti)porn wars. This wasn't a case of some nutcase sitting in a psycho ward dreaming something up in their own world, though I don't doubt she had emotional problems. Laws were passed in states, cities, and coutries which specifically stated that explicit depictions of people having sex constituted, in and of themselves, hate speech against women which could be legally banned. Maybe this is all ancient irrelevant history now, maybe.

the reality will not be one of women being ardently courted by hundreds of potential husbands...or that of women with 3-4 husbands waiting on them
[Read the article: Indian society still doesn't think much of girls]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]if that was the result would you be ok with it?
-
I really am sick of the constant reiteration among certain elements of the feminist community that if a certain problem affected men, it would have been solved ages ago. Or that if a problem for men hasn't been solved, it's because men don't want it fixed
[Read the article: Does the Pill make women less interested in sex?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Think maybe there's a story in why this approach, and it's analog in every other field, dominates public discourse, except among fundamentalists.
-
dentists?
[Read the article: Do women want male brothels?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think maybe that story was just an excuse
-
Sounds like the whole idea of sleeping together
[Read the article: Sleeping together, but not sleeping together]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]is pretty stupid.
-
Even if the woman IS seen as a sex object, if everywhere she goes men are tripping all,
[Read the article: Indian society still doesn't think much of girls]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]over themselves to give EVERY woman jobs, gift, money, marriage (under and and every condition she cares to name) proposals, etc, etc. wouldn't this be of some benefit to women? It's true the astronomical increase in the cost of sex might create incentives to pimping and prositituion which could be problematic in some societies.
-
Does this mean I am not a total asshole after all?
[Read the article: Do women want male brothels?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Well I guess that probably is asking too much.
-
Do you think the badly off in the US still have women to feel superior to?
[Read the article: A look at women's lives in Kurdistan]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I don't sense much of a sense of superiority. When the country modernizes the situation will change, although it suprises me how long it takes. I guess modernization is uneven. A couple of years ago something like a fifth of the world had never used a phone.
-
It has been ENDLESSLY discussed here by him and others believe me
[Read the article: John Tierney's attempt at abortion controversy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]check the "choice for men" in the archives
-
maybe in some situations that is true
[Read the article: Indian society still doesn't think much of girls]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]it won't be true in a modern society with cameras and cellphones everywhere with everyone under surviellance and a modern police force.
-
I guess the assumption is that the few available women would
[Read the article: Indian society still doesn't think much of girls]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]be able to get the men to compete against each other in giving women what they want.
-
or the families of men to compete
[Read the article: Indian society still doesn't think much of girls]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]as in you want a wife? no dowry, in fact pay us. You're a traditionalist, don't like this? Well I bet someone somewhere is less traditional. It might take quite a big disparity to accomplish this, especially if people saw what was happening and took steps to change things so the situation wasn't going to persist from generation to generation.
-
Men and their families can't reproduce themselve without the cooperation of woman
[Read the article: Indian society still doesn't think much of girls]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]no matter what else is going on.

It will revolutionize the practice of medicine once the word
[Read the article: "Women want smaller waists, not bigger IQs"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]gets out that there are no objective facts regarding the workings of the human body that apply to more than one person. The ute and Piaute indians in Utah are another groupd of people adapted to a desert environment. They are virtually all hugely overweight and diabetic now thanks to modern food and have some of the lowest life expectancies of any group on earth. I can't believe that anyone would suggest that the fact that it is posssible for people to starve to death or suffer malnutrition proves that it is impossible for them to suffer from eating too much.
-
It's seems an odd thing to complain that people start out
[Read the article: Baby Brangelina!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]without babies and then end up with them. Just how would you expect it to work? I don't think a higher percentage of women in Hollywood have kids than women in general. Most women want kids sooner or later.
-
they're just playing at stay at home
[Read the article: Baby Brangelina!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]they do it when they feel like it then they do something else; it's like playing a sport and doing manual labor to earn a living, you sweat during both, maybe even get fit doing both, but it isn't the same. I'm not surprised they take an interest in their new kids but plenty of them will be out doing other things soon enough. They MAY tone some things down, or just be more discreet, but that tends to happen as people get older even when they don't have kids.
-
The reason they've lowered the standard is because it became apparent
[Read the article: "Women want smaller waists, not bigger IQs"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]that peoples feet would rot off after a while at that level and they wanted to do justify doing something to put it off. Some people will never get lung cancer no matter how much they smoke, does that mean there's no correlation? Some native American groups, they are probably more vulnerable than average, have diabetic disease, not just measured sugar levels, in close to half, maybe more, of the population.
-
Well somebody has to have kids or the human race will end..
[Read the article: Baby Brangelina!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]ASSUMING you believe that's a bad thing then having kids must be, in general, some kind of a good thing. Whether it's a good thing for any particular person is a COMPLETELY different question.
As for celebrities, we pay them TOP DOLLAR so we can live vicariously through them, aren't we entitled to live the way we want? Admittedly it's a tough job for them to provide this service to millions of people with millions of different wants, but hey, the money's pretty good.

Atheltic cheerleading is far too dangerous
[Read the article: What does that spell? DANGEROUS!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I guess we should go back to the bump and grind style
-
There will never be a matriarchal paradise until the human
[Read the article: Norway, or the highway]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]race is physically altered. There may be a matriarchy but there will always be some kind of tension.
-
It used to be called courtship.
[Read the article: "Meet the Dinner Whores"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It isn't clear what it should be called. Most men would prefer to spend no time or money at all on a woman who doesn't or won't genuinely find them attractive. Does a man spending money make him hot if he wasn't before? why do it at all then. Or it's flat out payment for services rendered. That's why (well one reason) internet dating is so popular. No one can claim ignorance of what they are doing.
-
If in fact the "proposed" Palestinaian areas can reasonably be described as ghettos
[Read the article: The jailer]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Then that proposal cannot be a viable solution to the problems of the situation regardless of who is at fault for things being what they currently are.
-
I'm guessing the cheerleaders are there for the audience not for the players
[Read the article: What does that spell? DANGEROUS!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]maybe this is wild unfounded speculation on my part.
-
they control men's access to sex by making prositituion illegal
[Read the article: "Meet the Dinner Whores"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]in fact there is a very clear historical record; right around the time women got the vote laws against prositution became more common and were more enforced than before.
-
why are so many women apparently offended at the idea that men want to have sex?
[Read the article: "Meet the Dinner Whores"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]this really is confirming a long list of classic stereotypes.
