I'd like to see the population stabilize as soon as possible
[Read the article: Muckraker]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]but that alone will not solve anything (although a growing population makes solutions harder). If we don't invent and put into practice lots of new cleaner, better, etc technologies in place and do it soon the inevitable and unstoppable efforts of the currently existing people to improve their lot will wreak havoc. It may anyway, but the only hope for real mitigation is lots of investment and aid of the right sort soon (yesterday).

There is a difference between being penalized for something
[Read the article: Acting dumb to woo Prince Charming]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and not being rewarded for it. Men are rewarded for high IQ(particulary if it manifests itself in good social skills as well as financial succes, but even nerds who make money will get some attention) and women are rewarded for looking good and being nice. This doesn't mean that men have an aversion to women because they have a high IQ it just means that a woman who looks average will only be of average attractivenss and points will be taken off for obnoxious personality traits. Women almost always want men who can perform, at least in some arena, thoss who can get credit and those who can't are penalized. Men don't instinctively need women to take care of them, or protect them, or provide for their kids, they want women who they find appealing and who are attracted to them enough that the man can have some confidence that he won't get stuck supporting someone else's kids. It should be obvious that a woman who gives indications that she thinks she's hooked up with a moron is not a good bet in this last category.

Some do say year dear
[Read the article: Acting dumb to woo Prince Charming]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]as in once a and it probably doesn't help (although I hear some people, I assume relatively few, like that sort of thing).

Roe v Wade isn't based on the right to privacy
[Read the article: The last clinic standing in South Dakota]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]it seems like it should be but it isn't, it's based on equal protection.

It's not her fault she's related to him
[Read the article: Satin sheets, a feather boa and ... bin Laden?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and considering how women who don't toe the line are treated in the type of society that Osama is promoting it seems very likely that her objections to him and his program are entirely sincere.

99% of men would rather have sex with a willing partner
[Read the article: Prostitute patrons fight sex trafficking in Turkey]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]the problem is that the tradtional guardians of morality, and now most feminists, want to prevent all prostitution, not just prostitution involving unwilling girls so they have every incentive to prevent the distinction between willing and unwilling to be made and acted upon as it will validate some prostitution i.e that involving willing adults.

I don;t believe the comment was tongue in cheek, I believe
[Read the article: Prostitute patrons fight sex trafficking in Turkey]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]it was intented entirely seriously. I don't belive the difference is based on tradtional vs non-tradtional though but on other cultural differences i.e the greater influence in Europe of feminism and puritanism.

All steps must be taken to prevent poor men from being taken advantage of by rich abusive women!
[Read the article: Special delivery for mail-order brides]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]How can society tolerate such injustice! It must be stopped now!!!!!(or don't you believe in equality/androgny)

Just so it's clear" a lot of women "divide" themselves out of sex
[Read the article: Prostitute patrons fight sex trafficking in Turkey]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]or charge a price a lot higher than what prositutes charge. If they didn't here would be a lot less (I don't say none) prostitution. It's not all about "roles" being imposed on women by others.

I would have thought it was men who were more

It proves that men have an innate compulsion to be

It can be the same as the difference between someone who likes their
[Read the article: Prostitute patrons fight sex trafficking in Turkey]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]job and someone who hates their job. Sure, even people who are happy at work would probably be somewhere else if they didn't need the money but there is still a huge difference between someone who clearly hates what they are doing and everyone and everything associated with it and someone who does not. Of course no one, other than someone so rich that money is meaningless, would pay for sex IF they could get the SAME thing without paying (the idea that someone would get some psychic benefit by paying for it makes no sense except in some ideologues fevered imagination), the idea is so absurd I don't see how any sane person would believe it, maybe no sane person does.

It is interesting that EVERYTHING that happens to women which is done by men,
[Read the article: Hello, sailor! (Kapow!)]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and I mean EVERYTHIING, ALWAYS proves that women have it worse than men, are at a disadvantage compared to men's advantage and are being injured in some way. This determination to make all reality support a specific agenda (it's like the supply siders; no matter what happens it proves the need to for more tax cuts) will always be a problem if you want any support or interest from anyone who cares what is going on and would like to solve problems but isn't going to benefit from the tax cuts.

If you want to be successful people have to want to agree with you.
[Read the article: "Men want facts, women seek relations on Web," take two]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The project, not specific to broadsheet, is to provide reasonable and convincing arguments regarding the truth of a variety of subjects the explication of which just happens by chance as an UNINTEDNDED SIDE EFFECT of this discussion to provide convincing reasons why the point of view of women should prevail and women should be in charge.

Of course you don't that's the whole point, but since I can't help
[Read the article: Hello, sailor! (Kapow!)]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]myself I'll explain it anyway. Lots of the behavior of people in all societies, including the behavior of men toward women, benefits women specifically. There are a variety of reasons, many of which are innate, for this. In this case the women was clearly being handled more gently by men because she was a woman, a clear benefit to her. But of course the REAL TRUTH seen in the PROPER context is that this treatment is a manifestion of a tendency to keep women helpless and under control. There are a lot of things going on in the world some of which can even be accurately grasped by feminists with an agenda. The insistence, though, that, if the whole picture is seen it is shown to be true that men have most of the power and women don't is at best highly debatable and should not be accepted as an established fact no matter how convienient and gratifying some might find it to do so.
