I really don't know what you're complaining about. The President elect just announced that he's going to save the auto industry (without changing anything that is wrong with their current failing model), fix roads and bridges, maintain the current tax structure(we're in a recession you know), and that he's appointing the entire Clinton Administration (the greatest prsidency in history) to his Administration.

HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!

What did you think he was going to do? The only thing President Obama wants is to get re-elected in four years. That is the only thing that matters to any politician. If he actually did what some of you want, we'd see a repeat of 1980. But most of you don't remember the glorious Carter years.

For all of you that think universal health care is the answer, try the Army on for size. We could ask my wife what she thought about it. And to quote Orwell "some animals are more equal than others." I was one of those animals. I was in the personal reliability program which moved me to the front of the line.

And who will be deciding on who gets what care when? It won't be you or your doctor. It will be the same people that brought you the Post Office. THEY (whoever they are) will decide whether your Mother or Grandmother lives or dies. They will never look in the eyes of the person and say: "Sorry you're too old, we can't afford that procedure for you." But I'll wager my check that Senator Kennedy would get world class treatment.

And answer this: what great medical break throughs have come from Europe or Canada recently? They happen here, in the free market where people can PROFIT from their work.

If I were one of the top people in my field, I'd be jetting of to a small island south of Florida to set up my world class, cash only facility. You want the best, pay for it!

Like I said when I started I lived under socialized medicine. Have you?

As for longevity, that probably has a lot more to do with our lifestyle than medical care. Lord knows I need to exercise a lot more than I do.
