iPhone activations
[Read the article: An iPhone surprise: Opening-day sales were slow]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'm a little confused about what was reported. Was the 140,000 "new" AT&T customers? or was it all iPhone activations?
I think it was NEW customers (which were also reported as 40% of activations). If that is accurate. then the first two days were close to 400,000 phones.

It may not be the "most popular sport, but who cares.
[Read the article: Penguins survive trip to the brink]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Thanks King for the in depth coverage of a memorable game. Full disclosure: I'm an unabashed Penguins fan. Is there a sport that is is so truly multi-national AND includes North Americans? Is there any other sport where you can have two, three, even FIVE minutes of non-stop, high speed action?
Detroit is a machine, and I expect they will win this year's championship, but the future of professional hockey lives in the 'Burgh. After the season ends, the fun begins. Just one suggestion to DM Shero vis-a-vis Mr. Hossa: "Where else can you plan and have a chance to enter the Hockey Hall of Fame?" In hockey, that still counts for something.

No groove for palm
[Read the article: Has Palm gotten its groove back?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Sorry, but no, they haven't got their groove back. Their new product is using Windows Mobile, which, if anything, is at the bottom of all mobile operating systems.
It's time to say goodbye to Palm, once an innovator, but now an empty hulk of a company.
