Wowee k'zowee
[Read the article: If we leave Iraq, do we lose for good?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Thank you, thank you. You provide hope. I am a philosophy professor in Pittsburgh, and I was educated in Po Mo Mojo, and by pretending, to myself and others, to know what that nonsense meant I managed to receive a PhD. twenty years ago and consequently secure a tenured job teaching philosophy. But I have never taught, nor would I ever teach, such pompous trash neo-Parmendeanism to my students. Someday real philosophers will return to the American university. But with tenure in place, unless philosophy itself disappears -- which it may of its own p.c. toxicity -- we elders of the Po Mo crowd will actually have to die before that will happen. I hope I live long enough to see real thinkers and scholars, like YOU, return in sufficient numbers to change things. Philosophy really could be something useful and good if it were allowed in academe.

Lieberman, stake in heart of nosferatu Democratic Party
[Read the article: Joe Lieberman, from his indie perch]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Democratic Party is dead yet continues to haunt. Pelosi, Murtha, Reid, horrid monstrosities. In ten or twenty years we will discover Lieberman and even Bush provided the stable point, the fulcrum, upon which the American political scene levered itself into a new world. We now live in a world where war between coherent nations no longer exists. War is now war against the nations based on human rights waged by the transnational ideological cartels we call terrorists. Islamists are not the last of these but likely only the first. The strength of rights-based nations is also their weakness as illustrated by our PC Achilles heel. Lieberman knows this, and has a personal interest in protecting rights based liberal democracies, in particular America and Israel. Lieberman knows that as the Islamist suicide cartels exert ever more influence on the American Democratic party the American Democratic party becomes ever less able to protect Western Liberal Democracies including America and Israel.

It's not about race it's about the death of feminism
[Read the article: What role did race play with white Democrats?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It's not about race. It's simply that no man in his heart of hearts can elect a woman that reminds him of the worst aspects of his baby-boomer ex-wife. No man in his right mind can elect a woman whom he senses hates, him and his sons and all that he respects about good men. No second wife or mother of sons, alone in the voting booth, can elect a woman who represents all that has harmed her own sons and, or, the man she married. Hillary is a symbol for all that is wrong with victim feminism. It is just that simple. It's not about Obama, it's about Hillary! Those men, and pre and post boomer women, who have been harmed by the incessant misrepresentation of family, truth, fruitfulness and reality by the pseudo-science and bogus statistics of the likes of N.O.W. are done with this bitter ideology and this latest screechy voiced representative of that, finally, doomed ideology.

Push push push, push push Iran
[Read the article: The dangerous hostility game with Iran]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You are misrepresenting the actual situation. Iran is alone in the region. The Arabs, the Israelis, the EU, the US... all are simply keeping the pressure on Ahmadinajad to give Iran the opportunity to destroy itself. I predict the country as it now exists will disolve in about 12-18 months. The bizarre behavior occurring internally makes this absolutely clear. The Iranians have no options left but photo-shopped threats of outdated poorly performing rocketry and political buffoonery. Their fantasy nuclear bomb program will only quicken their inevitable demise. Internally they are crumbling. We need merely wait, poised and ready to strike when they finally make their fatal blunder around their shaky KQ Kahn nuke designs and ambitions. The fact is that the Arabs presently hate and fear Iran more than they hate Israel. Not good for Ahmadinajad et. al. Once any variety of war begins then the real devastating political and economic sanctions will begin. We will likely bomb them, but not yet, this is the pressure stage. The pre-bombardment bombardment. But even their inevitable bombing is only precursor to their economic collapse which is the true goal of the Arabs the West and the Israelis. Now that Iran IS the threat, they can no longer buy Arab good will by threatening Israel. The writing again is on the wall.

Obama fatigue should terrify McCain
[Read the article: I'm so bored with O-B-A-M-A]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]What fatigues becomes the familiar! "Who is this guy?" has become alright already, fine I know who he is, wonderful where's the Olympics. And as any one who has been a child remembers, the candy that eventually made you sick you yearned for again within days and yet again with tenderness born of extreme familiarity as an adult. Fatigue is fine so long as there is a respite. Enough is only enough if it is tempered by just enough time to create more and greater yearning in order to have enough again and again.

The stalking horse election
[Read the article: The dumbing down of the GOP]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Biden in his debate made clear to Union blue-shirt Democrats that Obama would be his stalking horse to become a shadow president just as Cheney used W. to convince the Republican elites to take that risk. McCain is now trying to use Palin, but she is too new, too green, too little trained. The Obama problem remains fear of so new and unusual a candidate for the real blue Joe six-packs. Biden cured this for the Dems. Obama and Palin, two cute poodles tossed into the pit bull arena for amusement and distraction, when the race remains the same old one between cagey old insiders.

It's Over, "Doled"
[Read the article: How John McCain could still win]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Look at campaign finance numbers. That is the story. Another good man, like Dole, another wounded war hero, going down with the ship. Republicans stopped giving money. The reality is this is the moment to let the Dems win. Economy spiralling, Iran war inevitable, Putin glowering. To win this one means losing for the next four at least. We already had our Herbert Hoover let them have their Momma Obama.
