Original article: Tangled up in Seuss

Question

So if I record myself reading Dr. Seuss and post it on the net I'm guilty of copyright infringement?

lockdown wouldn't have nmattered

It might have mattered to those who were shot but not overall. Cho was there on campus. If he had heard the call for a lockdown he would have just started his rampage sooner someplace else, different people would have been shot but the killings would have happened. It might even have been worse.

The Leader?

Hmmmm, I always thought persons in government in a republic, were the SERVANTS of the people, not their leaders.

my take

Tony killed Chris because Chris told him he was on drugs. When Tony was in bed surrounded by the guys he said "If I knew he was on drugs I'd have strangled him myself". I think AJ is going to turn away from his violent friends. He doesn't really seem into it.

Yau is going to still give Dreemz the truck. I'd say "hell no". The deal was you give me immunity I give you the truck, you renege so I renege.

Man

"Serving as an infantry scout meant Smith was either driving a Humvee or gunning -- standing half-exposed in the turret, manning a .50-caliber machine gun. His days were a blur of firefights, of killing and the fear of being killed. He got little sleep, he says, often staying up for days during a mission, and returning to base for some sleep only to be awakened a few hours later for another mission. As Iraq spiraled into deeper chaos, he was constantly on guard against snipers, suicide bombers and roadside explosives."

Uh,Duh, your in the goddamn Army!!!!!!!

You missed the best niche sport this weekend

The college lacrosse playoffs. All the games have been broadcast on ESPNU. Very good stuff.

I too wonder

How do these bad films get made? With all the "talent" in Hollywood you'd think someone would stand up and say "This is crap." But they never do.

HMMM

Just because she traveled "undercover" doesn't mean she was "covert". A covert agent has dealings only with their handler and that person is the only one who knows what is going on. Plame was known to many people at the CIA. Not only that, but she drove in the front gate at CIA headquarters everyday for five years. I don't see how you can be "covert" when you openly enter the gate of a spy agency everyday.

You're wrong

She didn't have a DUI. She was convicted of reckless driving. Which I believe is a misdemeanor. 45 days for a probation violation on a misdemeanor is pretty harsh.

The Sheriff

The Sheriff was pissed the Judge told him how to hold Paris.

EH

The first three seasons were awesome. After that two year break it wasn't as good. The last few seasons only had one or two really good episodes each.

aptnro

LTA ships don't have to be slow. Different shapes (wedges)can reduce drag and increase speed. Weather is not a problem in this day and age with radar and sat imagery. Control problems are solved by computer controlled nacelle engines which are MUCH more powerful than in olden days. Helium is refined from natural gas which is already going to be produced so no big thing there.

@captainlarabThat

That's because the odds of being involved in a terrorist attack are minuscule. Until I'm more likely to be killed in a terror attack than riding in my car I'm not going to worry about it.

The real problem with organic farming

It's unnecessary. There's nothing wrong with using artificial fertilizer. It's basically just ammonia. Pesticides aren't really dangerous to an average human. If used SPARINGLY! That's been the problem with industrial agriculture. When it started people overused the stuff. Now we know better.

Tuesday, July 17, 2007 05:25 PM

What I didn't say

I never said anything about the effect of pesticides on insects. I just said they aren't that dangerous to humans.

I never said anything about taste. Do small batch locally grown organic tomatoes taste better? Probably. But industrial ones taste "good enough" and are really cheap.

As it concerns overuse of chemicals, new computer and infrared tech are coming that will put on the smallest amount necessary. Computerization and robotization of industrial farming is going to make organic even more of a luxury and less important.
