How obvious is the Wag The Dog in Georgia?
Georgia knows Putin. They're about get $6 billion or so in US Military aid.
Plus, with W. in China McCain gets to look like he's already President.
Genius.
Evil Genius.
But, still, Genius.
To all those supporting Bush,
"But blaming this Georgia thing on him AT ALL is just asinine."
He is the President of the United States of America. He is "The Leader of the Free World" and has been for 8 years. That job controls the direction of the rest of the world. George W. Bush has seriously failed to direct the world into a more decent era.
And to those of you who liked Reagan,
Do you believe that this is what Reagan had in mind? I don't think so. I believe Reagan would dislike Bush. Nancy Reagan you can deny it, but, please, give it some real thought.
Cheers,
Why?
The fact that Americans continue to fall for obvious smear campaigns.
Negative, smear campaigns are the only page in the GOP playbook. For Obama and the democratic party to caught off guard by this is unbelievable.
Where are the ads saying "a 95% pro Bush voting record isn't a Maverick it's a YES MAN. American needs a true leader not a yes man."
And, lets be honest, Bush only got into Yale because he was a legacy. McCain graduated 894 out of 899 at the Naval academy and he only got in because his father and grandfather were admirals. Americans are extremely anti intelligence. A guy who acts tough but doesn't know what he's talking about will win every time.
I respect McCain's decision to go full force after female voters, but is this the best he can do?
Is the GOP so thin with woman that a 20 month Governor is the best bet? Condi Rice and Kay Bailey Hutchison have a lot of baggage and after that you fall to Alaska's 1st half of 1st term Governor.
I would think that picking an under qualified woman would upset Hillary's base not entice them. Seems like really obvious pandering.
It does not speak well of American's if this ploy works.
Harriet Miers, Harriet Miers, Harriet Miers, Harriet Miers, Harriet Miers.
Loud and all day and night.
Harriet Miers. Same as Bush.
Harriet Miers.
Harriet Miers. Harriet Miers.
Exact same as Bush.
Harriet Miers.
That's all I should hear tomorrow morning.
Every Dem hitting the Sunday morning news talk shows should hammer this home tomorrow.
Totally unqualified, picked because she was a religious ideologue and female. Harriet Miers.
McCain is just like Bush. His first big decision proves it!
Lights out!
William Buckley said that the GOP should lose this election and go off into the forest to cleanse itself. That's a Biblical statement. "Cleanse ourselves" is "wash these evangelicals off of us."
I totally agree with William Buckley. Founding member of the conservative movement. I totally agree with him. I would like George Will to admit the same. This is no longer the conservative movement this the the Evangelical movement. Liberals didn't crush the conservatives, the evangelicals crushed the conservatives.
"Conservatives" should not vote evangelical they should try and take America back.
So, now McCain is harshly attacking the media, all media.
I know that this has worked for the GOP before, but this seems like a huge stretch.
Palin's a really questionable choice. She's been in a secessionist group and after only 20 months had to hire a lawyer to protect her from a corruption scandal, you can't blame the media for questioning her selection. Just because you don't like the questions doesn't mean they are not valid questions that deserve honest answers.

The GOP jumped the shark. Please, media, don't cower and point this out.
Anyone who follows politics knows that Alaska's government is a corrupt, good ole boys system.
How can she be presented a "reformer" who "worked with both sides"?
When will the MSM point out the corrupted nature of Alaskan politics?
