You nailed it.
Because, you know, women spontaneously erupt into pregnancy after having dirty thoughts. All alone. Nobody else has anything to do with it.
Not splotchy and puffy enough. (Why yes I did read Al Franken's book.)
Really funny, and sadly accurate. Except for the Bill O'Reilly pics, definitely not splotchy enough.
In your zeal to paint those who oppose abortion as calloused individuals, you forget the outcome of abortion.
The woman who will be scarred for life after having a abortion
The guilt of taking a human life
The denial of a child to ever having lived.
And the favorite straw man argument, for the life of the mother. I am sure George Tiller heard THAT one when he sucked the brains out of 9 month baby.
All for convienance.....
And yes, if abortion does not kill something then why do people use birth control?
He has a tiny penis and therefore takes his rage out by trying to control women's bodies.
And of course, he names himself after a gun. What a giveaway.
If they hadn't sent soo many young kids to die in Iraq for a profit.
And nobody else wants to live there with them.
The only pro-lifers I will ever respect are the ones who have adopted unwanted babies. The rest of you have nothing to say, and had best stay away from the front of my vehicle when I drive by Family Planning. Well, unless the idea of being my hood ornament appeals to ya'll.
As a liberal living in rural West Texas, I've a pretty good view, I think, on who conservatives are and how they reach their opinions on these sorts of issues. I've lived every day of my life in 'Rightwingoverse.'
And I do wish you would look beyond those like O'Reilly and Limbaugh to recognize that conservatives are hardly the bloated caricatures presented on radio and tv. Although I'll typically disagree with them, I'll always recognize that they're just as well-intentioned, just as determined to seek after good, as liberals are.
Sure, O'Reilly fully deserves the satire. But the irony of this comic's title stands out to me and is quite sad. The irony is that liberals really should be trying to see this issue through conservatives' eyes (and vice-versa), and of course, this doesn't do it. I really can't see what good a comic like this does for human relations or human thought.
"Pay no attention to the virulent ant-abortion fellow
He has a tiny penis and therefore takes his rage out by trying to control women's bodies.
And of course, he names himself after a gun. What a giveaway."
....and profoundly irreversible repressed sexual identity issues.
...and the irony goes right over their head, right Smith and Wesson or whatever the fuck your stupid macho handle is?
Cha Ching!
that does not jive with the progressive orthodox ideology are right wing zealots. I can see from the hostility and allusion to violence that some people here have toward Glock, that trying to intimidate people into conformity is not solely relegated to the right.
Furthermore, why is it that people who identify as progressive always use homophobic slanders to try to suppress others. Tiny penis? Sexually oppressed? You mean he is a closet fag, right? Why don't you just come out and use the slur, instead of trying to both call him a faggot, and preserve your progressive bona fides?
This comic isn't about people who have well-informed and thoughtful problems with the issue at hand, it's about people who deliberately refuse to honestly address the debate. http://www.rhrealitycheck.org/blog/2009/06/02/the-prolife-movements-hot-rhetoric-and-allout-lies
Um, Glock baby, I do believe you mean we think of you as callous, not calloused. Or were you talking about the callous on your trigger finger (or are we really just talking about a callous on your palm)?
Also, please point me towards all those studies demonstrating the alleged damage you claim that abortion does to women:
"The woman who will be scarred for life after having a abortion." No such study
"The guilt of taking a human life." This might be, if you believe that abortion is taking a human life. Not everyone does.
Yes, that belief is a religious one. Sorry.
"The denial of a child to ever having lived." Define "child." I bet my religion has a different definition of when life begins than yours. Is my religion wrong? Because my religion is most likely the foundation of your religion.
"And the favorite straw man argument, for the life of the mother." First of all, don't you mean "straw woman?" Tsk, tsk.
Secondly, I have friends who would have died without late term abortion.
One of them in particular not only almost died, she lost her fertility in order to save her life, and the suffering of her fetus. Her fetus was expected to live between 2-3 hours if delivered at term, which would only have been possible with an emergency c-section. The baby would have spent that time slowly suffocating. Have you ever heard of hydroencephaly? My friend's 6 month old fetal daughter had a head the size of a full term baby, and it was only going to grow. She would still likely be rendered infertile. She chose to spare her child suffering. But as long as the baby is born, you don't really care who suffers, right?
And Magdelyn, do you know something about homosexuals' penis size that we don't? I didn't realize penis size was correlated to homosexuality.
People who take on the personas of guns, pistols, and rifles are generally considered to have sexual identity issues, within the psychological community. Sorry, but it is true.
It has nothing to do with being a right wing zealot. It does have to do with belittling women, and using self-aggrandizing, questionably macho nicknames.

Late-term abortions are rare all across the country. In Kansas, one can only be performed after two medical professionals deem it necessary. Tiller was accused of failing to observe that requirement and exonerated. So a court of law determined that none of the late-term abortions Tiller performed were for "convenience."
At least argue in good faith.
