To paraphrase Groucho Marx...

...Glenn Beck may look like an idiot, talk like an idiot and act like an idiot, but don't let that fool you. He IS an idiot!

Actually...

I think there was an episode of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" like this. Or was it "Star Trek: Voyager"? Or... no matter. Time travel will get you every time. In the very near future none of our past will ever have happened!

And because...

"We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives. And remember my friend, future events such as these will affect you in the future." :)

The Allure

What is the hold that the Boy Detective have over Moonbat? Why does Moonbat keep hanging out with this poor creature, especially since he's spending months on end in his basement? The world may never know. . .

Beck is a massive traffic accident

No matter how gruesome and bloody, as you pass a traffic accident like Beck, you just always have to look. While the sane among us mourn the awesome waste, the right (i.e. insane) celebrate the rantings of this . . . . .pile of Beck.

The breakdown continues

Man, I wonder how much scarier looking Conservative Jones can get? I imagine next time we see him he might be in a psych ward or something.

Monday, April 13, 2009 11:15 PM

It would explain a lot...

Has anyone seen Boy Detective and Jonah Goldberg in the same room at the same time? I thought not....

Explains a lot when you think about it

Time travel is the only logical explanation for the common conservative belief that Bill Clinton and Janet Reno were responsible for Ruby Ridge.

@Perlinator: You're almost spot on

Though I'd call Glenn Beck a moron or an imbecile rather than an idiot, though I haven't checked my dictionary to figure out which one is more annoying and prone to irrational, psychotic behavior.

Anyone ever checked to make sure he's not combining Prozac with Xantax, quaaludes and coke? In any case, fuck is that guy weird.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 01:24 AM

Is anyone surprised?

He's an admitted conservative, a talk show host, and an LDS convert. Is anyone actually surprised that he comes up with batshit theories?

National Treasure III

Comes to faux news. Suspend disbelief? . It is a prerequisite before watching old Glenn.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 05:33 AM

I remember as a child

watching William Frank Buckley Jr on Firing Line with my father. He is what I recall as a Conservitive talk show host. Glenn Beck is simply an un-intellectual albino boob.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 05:52 AM

On a positive note

I had not known the etemology of the word fascist prior to this.

Thanks Glen!

I was given a medal

in high school ROTC that had that symbol on the back. Guess they were trying to indoctrinate me way back then.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 06:23 AM

That Glenn Beck Is An Idiot ...

... is never the wrong answer, regardless of the question.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 07:04 AM

It's much worse than I thought.

We are completely surrounded by sleeper-cell fascists. Many of them are gay real estate agents who want to get married on The Rachael Maddow Show. They already control our schools, our libraries, our Department of Defense, and our bird sanctuaries.

My goodness. It's like we woke up one morning and we're either surrounded by fascists or images of Glennnnnn Beck. And that's the last straw. I'm taking my pet squirrel and moving to Canada.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 07:06 AM

Please tell me Beck didn't actually say this...

If so, this country is in deep shit! There's a lot of very stupid people who beleive everything he says, just like Rush. This is exactly why I think conservatives are too stupid to be allowed to vote.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 07:14 AM

@DoctorGreeves: "They already control... our bird sanctuaries"?!

Nah, those bundles of sticks in the bird sanctuaries aren't fasces -- they're nesting material!

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 07:50 AM

Please don't refer to Glenn Beck as "Beck"

It does the singer a grievous injustice.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 09:26 AM

@ Reader

You might be right about the sticks in our bird sanctuaries, but I'm starting to have my doubts about my pet squirrel. No more Glennnnnn Beck for him!

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 10:03 AM

Sorry FightTheTheocracy

but Glennford did really say this on his show.

I know what'll cheer you up. Do a YouTube search for "Newswipe". British series. Episode 3 has an extended bit about Glenn.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009 05:38 PM

New way to refer to Glenn Beck

I agree, no need to confuse him with a nice guy like Beck.

How about Jeebie, as in Heebie Jeebie.

Oh, if Jeebie himself is reading this, and doesn't get it, try your initials. GB.

Fighttheocracy

"Conservatives are too stupid to be allowed to vote." Interesting comment. Demographics show that Republican and Libertarian - Beck is a Libertarian - voters have higher education levels, higher incomes, live in more affluent neighborhoods and hold positions requiring higher degrees than Democrats on average. Liberals call Conservatives "Trailer trash" and "Bubbas" and such, and ignore the fact that their demographics are primarily the high crime areas, low income areas, uneducated, et al. Also, I think Republicans and Libertarians are more informed on the issues and thus are more intelligent voters. Liberals love to bash the style, but don't argue the points. Beck is a Libertarian and argues those views. That makes him an idiot? You'd have to be an idiot to honestly think he's an idiot. Don't like his style and his ranting, fine, but if you're letting that get in the way of his actual message than I can understand why so many of you voted for Obama: great style and eloquence, but full of emptiness and lacking substance. But hey, he sounds great, has a young handsome family, he's Black (and it's time we prove we're not a racist nation), so let's vote for this guy. What's he stand for? Don't know, can't really say, but what the hell; he's a Democrat, not a Republican, so that's good enough for me. Sheep.

Viewpoints

I'm sure you all go to conservative blogs and webites like TownHall or The 912Project to see what these people think and what they are saying (because you like to hear all sides of issues, right? Yea...right). Many conservatives come to Salon and Daily KOS and MoveOn.org to read columnists and comments from liberals, which in nearly all cases only confirms their own views. You'll notice a big difference besides the ideas: Conservatives actually have strong beliefs and argue their points, and when liberals come on to name call and bash them, conservatives want arguments, though they rarely get them - only name calling. Kind of like these cartoons of Beck and virtually all the comments on this article. Read them. Funny...but in a sad kind of way. Nasty people full of venom and hate, and I wonder how many of these people have ever even listened to Limbaugh or Beck or O'Reilly or Hannity, or read Sowell or Malkem or Prager or the conservative columnists. I doubt many of you. You'd rather swallow up your liberal hatred of everything conservative and bash folks who see things differently than you do, wallow in your BDS, and view the world through your narrow, ignorant prism of us vs them. Like children. Immature thinkers. Can't even see your own hypocracy, can you? I think it's funny in a way, but it does end up getting a guy like Obama as our leader. That's not funny at all for those of us who understand the consequences of that.
