Perhaps the awareness and preparations to fight such democracy destroying moves is what kept the Bush Admin from doing just that. Perhaps loosing the midterms in 2006 also put a crimp in their plan, since now congress could in fact voice opposition.

Apparently most of us still don't get it. If Bush and Cheney (at the very least) aren't punshied for violating our Constitution and the Geneva Conventions, and lying us into an illegal war, this is in no way over at all, Obabma or no. If lawbreakers (the biggest in human history, or at least the biggest in our country's history) don't face justice for their crimes, there is NO STOPPING THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN, OVER AND OVER.

But it seems to me those who still believe that Bush's policies were justifiable need the opinion of a world body such as the World Court to face the egregious immorality of the George Bush-Dick Cheney administration.
