My view is that the CEO's of Lehman Bros, Fannie May and Freddie Mac, AIG, Merrill Lynch, and the rest of the morgage-related bailout list, along with every member of their board of directors, be rounded up, stripped naked, and forced onto the field of a football stadium with no way out. The stands would be filled with those hard-working and innocent minions from their companies who lost their jobs, investors who lost their retirements, and the rest of us, who lost substantive value in our investments, or major chunks of our hopes for a decent retirement, could pay at a doubtless lively auction for a seat in the stands. Everyone could rent, for varying prices, everything from slingshots to darts to blowguns to pellet rifles--nothing capable of a quick kill--and an enjoyable afternoon could be spent shooting the milling, pleading, screaming, bleeding pissants to a well-deserved, miserable, long-suffering, anguished, death.
The worldwide TV rights to this alone could make a considerable dent in this new debt, and hopefully, the next generation of financial "managers" would take a lesson from it, and mend their ways, lest they be next.
And to those readers who are alarmed by the above expression of anger and outrage, consider that it's healthy to vent as opposed to repress.
How could anyone NOT have seen it coming?

THE ROOTS AND PROGRESS OF “FEMINISM”
What is it that the prototypical male pig Rush Limbaugh believes, something about feminism being created to enable ugly women to gain societal acceptance?
That’s rather harsh, unless one considers the founders of modern American feminism. By “modern” I don’t refer to the first wave of feminists such as the racist, abortionist Margaret Sanger or the anarchist Voltairine de Cleyre who, as fruitcakey as they were, at least were not offenses to the human eyes.
I rather refer to such people as Betty Friedan and Bella Abzug who, if they didn’t shatter camera lenses at least must have scared cameramen. Friedan especially fits the Rush profile, she of The Feminine Mystique, a title which has to be considered extremely imaginative since Betty could know about as much about feminine mystique as I could.
There were a few exceptions to Rush’s Rule, but not many, and those who were exceptions and who became Playboy Club bunnies, for example, seemed more motivated by a visceral hatred of the male of the species than by feminism itself.
However, appearances aside and since we know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it must be conceded that the second wave feminists caught on with women far more than the first. They established Women’s Liberation and the right of women to burn their bras and to have total control of their bodies.
The freedom of the bra-less look may have merely led to later-in-life breast issues for the bra-less. The “total control of their bodies” led to explosions in the rate of divorces, out of wedlock births, sexually transmitted diseases and, after Roe v. Wade, fifty million legal abortions in America, unless those explosions were purely coincidental with the advent of feminism.
Common sense dictates they were not. Women and girls...

I don't know about Clinton but I seem to remember it was a veto proof republican congress and Phil (nation of whiners) Gramm the architect of the 1999 bill that de-regulated credit swaps.. and former economic advisor to McCain..
that is where the real blame lies.. along with an irresponsible administration that took a surplus into one of the largest deficits -GW spent more than all past presidents combined remember?
And what did they do to stimulate the economy, the tax cuts for the rich did nothing -rather it forced the Fed to lower interest rates to feed a housing bubble. And a 3 trillion dollar war that has only led to increased oil prices and a worldwide malaise. Ironic that a conservative republican administration believes that gov't has a place in business after all. Privatize profits and socialize the losses - when its sunny rake in the profits when it rains pass it on to the taxpayer.
funny that Comrade Bush (and all the republican de-regulators) now think Govt has a place in business after all

You still have not refuted Investor's Business Daily.
Refute what? Unlike you, IBD did not say that the economic crisis was the fault of every past president with a D after his name, and had nothing to do with anyone with an R after his name.

Stop right there. I am trying to respect you, really I am, but you're making it really hard.
I know first hand the eye popping, vein bursting, white hot hatred that the loving left can spew when they disagree with somone.
Ah yes, and the right wingers, on the other hand, are just so goshdarn polite! You know, if you go to Free Republic or Red State or any right wing site and say anything that deviates the least bit from the standard republican talking points, you won't suffer ridicule the way you do here when you deviate from the norm. Rather, you will receive death threats (impotent and funny though they may be) and offers to sodomize your mom. This happens with utter predictability. But somehow this passes for politeness in Poco's mind. Thanks for the disclosure.
I have experienced evil and can readily recognize it
You support Bush, so no, you obviously can't recognize it.
You and yours will lose, and I don't just mean this election. I mean life in general. Yours is already a sad existence.
Ah, thanks for that. The final bitter, wailing cry of the vanquished, heard throughout history. I know that's the closest thing you'll ever make to a concession, but it's no less sweet.
You still have not refuted Investor's Business Daily. It's because you can't, so you just resort to name calling. Another tactic of the loving, intellectual, tolerant left.
Having performed in outdoor patriotic musicals similar to the "Up With People" show of the seventies. I know first hand the eye popping, vein bursting, white hot hatred that the loving left can spew when they disagree with somone. I have seen it too many times. I have experienced evil and can readily recognize it, even if only in print. You and yours will lose, and I don't just mean this election. I mean life in general. Yours is already a sad existence.
