Infiltrating the highest levels of our society ... the elitist menace!
  • Why is Obama asked about patriotism?

    @Whisper:

    For the same reason that Reverend Wright, a man who helped operate on a President of the United States, has been called an America hater.

    For the same reason that conservatives reverends who called for the overthrow of the US government because they don't call for the blood of gay people are just expressing their religious beliefs.

    For the same reason that Hagee can state that a hurricane that left thousands dead, hundreds of thousands homeless, isn't called insane for saying it was because of a parade. After all, it only effected black people, since obviously God doesn't hate white people when he sends a hurricane through Florida and Georgia.

    Because he's black. And that's the only reason. Oh, he didn't put his hand over his heart during the Star Spangled Banner - he must be an America hater, because he's black. Why is he asked about Harry Belefonte's statements by Tim Russert, when the two men don't share anything - other than color?

    Let's not kid ourselves. By the standards of the media and the conservatives, only liberals and black people can be unpatriotic when they speak out against America's policies and actions. After all, America is *always* Good and Just, and therefore should *never* be spoken out against. Unless, of course, a Democrat is in office - then its their duty.
