It's a sad truth that so many would willingly believe the things they'd say about Obama

Republithugs aren't thrown off by his rise, they're reveling in it.

I am amazed at how many are falling for the Republithug tactic of repeatedly stating they will NOT use race as a factor.

Hello! Reality to America, mentioning that you will NOT use it endlessly IS USING IT, and that's just the start.

If Obama is the nominee, we will have the most racist campaign ever.

The play book is simple.

McCain will have none of it of course.

his role will be to eventually "condemn and distance" himself from that kind of stuff. After giving the media enough time to repeat the story for maximum impact.

Obama will not be able to attack McCain for using race, because McCain will always be timely in his denunciations of groups who support him, but that are independent and who use racist, most often insidious, to eviscerate Obama.

Any hint that the Obama campaign sees McCain as using racism, will be twisted by the Republithugs into the "boy who cried wolf" when he had no way to effectively counter McCain's better tactics.

The hubris that cost Obama's campaign the killing victories in Texas and Ohio would make them sitting ducks for the much more vicious, cruel attacks of the "know no limit" Republithugs.

I'm Still Nervous

We met Tom Tomorrow at a book signing in NYC during his "Hell in a Handbasket" Tour. One woman in the audience asked how it was possible that Pres. Bush could have been re-elected. "Well", said Tom Tomorrow, sagely, "50,000,000 Americans are stupid." The problem is that they are still out there.

I also recall a woman Republican voter in Ohio in recent news who stated that she was opposed to the war and disappointed with the President. When asked why she had voted for George Bush twice she remarked "I voted for him because he was a Republican." My, how astute. If it isn't the mindless "Ah'm votin' the straight Repub-ican ticket!", it is going to be the deeper-seated, good, old American racism that the right-wing is going to exploit.

We have a lot of work to do, people!

Trinity UCC - Church of bigotry

Conread Y writes:

"Does it really need to be so strident and quite easily confused as anti-white?"

Trinity UCC writes:

"We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.", i.e. we hate whitey. Whitey not welcomed here. Whitey stay out.

I am not confused at all. I wouldn't vote for Obama not because he is black, but because he is a bigot.

John Hagee writes:

"We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a White worship service and ministries which address the White Community."

No, he didn't. But could you imagine the response if he did? Only blacks can hate and get away with it. Judging by the comments sections of newspapers all around the country, I think that is becoming apparent. The pendulum swings. The free ride is nearly over.

@ Late Again

I've heard that Obama is the anti-christ thing too. I don't know who started the rumor, but it has legs and is definitely making the rounds. The amazing thing, for me anyway, is that one of my good friends, who I've never known to be very Christian or even at all religious, sincerely believes that Obama is the anti-christ. I can't make any sense out of this, nor can I figure out where she's getting this stuff from.

What's even more mind boggling? She's a Hillary Clinton supporter and a true believer in liberal politics and causes. Also, we live in Chicago. So it's not just those crazy right wingers in the south. Dumb ideas can prosper anywhere.

As for Dave in AZ, he makes a good point (albeit a little angrily)--Hillary and her camp have done some very public fear mongering and character smearing that Tom Tommorow is here accusing the right of doing. My thought is that TT is harping on the right wing here because they have such a long and storied history of this kind of dirty game playing. TT is just predicting that their gonna start in on Obama (they already have) and he's also predicting how they're gonna do it.

As far as Hillary's tactics are concerned, I think that most people have taken note of her fear mongering/character assasination attempts and have made up their mind about what they think about it. As an unabashed Obama supporter, I gotta say, this kind of thing coming from her camp doesn't really surprise me. I always suspected that she was more of the same old nonsense, this is some proof of that.

about U.S. Senator Obama

he is a protege of the late, great U.S. Senator Paul Simon: it is for the reason that I decided to vote for Obama

I welcome the 2008 version of the Swift Boat Veterans to surface again, so that I can play 'Whack-An-Asshole' with them

if the conservatives want to play rough, then I am ready and waiting for the knuckle-dragging idiots to appear: it is time to permanently remove their genes from the human gene pool

So, what about his Church?

Where's the media?

Are we not allowed to know?
