Kristol's new column in the New York Times
Tom Tomorrow has hit the mark again. All the whines from the right about a "liberal" media is one of the biggest canards that exists. One of the champions of Bush's policies and one of the neocons "holy men" now has another outlet for his bile and his prejudice. The environment is neglected, universal health care is a "cardinal sin," our army of occupation of Iraq looks to be permanent--regardless of who takes office, a small percentage of Americans prosper while the majority of our citizens see their quality of life stagnant and decline, and the neocons wave "red herrings" and keep us distracted. Kristol's presence in the New York Times will make his task all that much easier.

Wonderful!
Where is Kristol? I, too, want to go to that happy land. Take me with you, Bill, if only for a day. Somewhere over the rainbow?
Well, hindsight is 20-20.

Wow
TMA never fails, but dang...this one uses fact to sum up the oh so many problems w/ the msm to numerous to mention in this little reply. Bravo.
-
Kristol should go back to hosting the Acadamy Awards Show.
He was HILARIOUS!!!!
-
Kristol is a foul propagandist regardless of his religion and ancestry
So--fools--stop blaming Kristol's judaism or "zionism" for his horrible
judgement and love of violent policies that kill Americans and, well, just about anyone brown.
The majority of support for Bush's horrible policies come from self proclaimed "Christians," so leave Judaism out of it.
The Jews are super cool for America and the world. If you have a problem with the policies of the Israeili government, then call it that. You don't blame Jesus and Christians for Vietnam and the Iraq war---you blame the policy and the assholes. In the Iraq war case, Kristol and Bush.
The last thing we need on the left are stupid anti-semites trolling our comment sections. You don't represent us and you aren't one of us. You're a plant, a right winger, or just an asshole (see above, you fit right in).
I'm a liberal Irish American Mutt and I love Jews. And Jews have championed more liberal and progressive causes than just about any group.
Kristol's Judaism is his best quality, and obviously the Talmud and the Torah don't influence his thinking at all. Just his imperialist Bush Brain.

I've got it!
The Times, intrepid journalists that they are, are going to be out front of the scoop that Kristol gets something right. What with broken clocks and all, they will have the proof in their own pages to hold up, once again reaffirming them as the conduit for "all the news fit to print."
I smell a Pulitzer...

Business is business
Kristol's connections to the White House got him a gig at Time Magazine, which obviously didn't work. So now he uses his WH connections to get himself a posh perch at the hated NYT - hated by the WH, that is. Publisher Sulzberger is responding to pressure, or threats, that probably affect the whole Times' empire bottom line. They've done it before.
The Nixon thugs did it to 'Pinch' Sulzberger's father, which resulted in the an equally odious character by name of William Sapphire being hired as a columnist. He also was supposed to provide 'balance' to the op-ed pages. What he did was lie, prevaricate, make things up, smear people, and try to reinvent Nixon as an elder statesman. That went on for decades until he finally retired. Along the way, he supported everything and anything that Israel wanted or did (which didn't hurt him with the publisher's family).
After Judith Miller and Jason Blair the Times has now hired the pimp.
Opinion is one thing, but propaganda is another, and Kristol is pure propaganda. The Times has shamed itself again.

Tom Tomorrow has CAPTURED THE ESSENCE of THIS DISGUSTING LIAR and OBFUSCATING PREVARICATOR, and The New York Times HAS DEFINITELY LOST ITS MIND IN GIVING A WEEKLY COLUMN TO THIS NONSENSICAL GRINNING GHOUL, FASCIST-NAZI, NAZI-FASCIST neo-CON-man FOOL and KNAVE who SPREADS HIS CANARDS AROUND WITH FRANTIC GLEE IN AN ATTEMPT TO PULL THE WOOL OVER THE EYES OF THE GULLIBLE WHO BELIEVE THIS MISERABLE CREEP'S LIES!!!!! EVERY WORD Kristol UTTERS IS A LIE, INCLUDING "I," "AND" & "THE"(With GRATEFUL THANKS to the LATE, GREAT Mary McCarthy referring to that LYING HARRIDAN Lillian Hellman)!!!!!

William Kristol... Letter to the NYT
I just wrote the following letter to the Editor at the NYT... I am no doubt, it will never see the light of day...
Sirs
Why am I not surprised that William Kristol’s first column maintains his abysmal record of being wrong on everything for the last twenty years?
While thanking Obama for taking Clinton down a peg or two and damming Huckabee with faint praise for his stands on guns, abortion and same sex marriage, which he cynically points out are central to GOP successes of the last twenty years, the biggest laugh came when I read his forecast that… After the last two elections, featuring the well-born George Bush and Al Gore and John Kerry, Americans — even Republicans! Are ready for a likable regular guy. I seem to remember that was exactly the platform Kristol and his fellow neo-cons used to sell Bush to the American electorate, presenting him as an “aw-shucks” simple Texan.
Personally, I preferred Ann Richards’s description of him as being “Poor George, he was born with a silver foot in his mouth.” Whereas Mr. Kristol seems to have kept his foot firmly in his mouth his entire professional life.

Help! A Neocon Injection! Quick!!
The Times' conservative-in-residence, David Brooks, has been a shuddering with self-doubt ever since every neoconservative program for a Revitalized Middle East seems to have crumbled into the rubble. It's like Brooks has become as lame a conservative spokesman as those wimps Fox puts on Hannity & Colmes to represent the liberal position. The Times better get a conservative who still has some backbone in there fast. So here comes Kristol, but he's not the right guy. We can only hope that Krugman and Dowd et al wear him down really quickly so the Times can correct this error and hire a REAL neocon to write a column, somebody like Donald Rumsfeld or Karl Rove. Now THAT would be fun to read!
