Most excellent

This is what they would have us believe. I love how Tomorrow takes the Republican schtick to the logical extreme. Otherwise, they've been doing it so long that sometimes the shock value just isn't there anymore in the real world.

pieces of cloth

"And why are these pieces of cloth tied around our necks, did someone try to strangle us?"

At that point I chuckled and thought about how much fun this particular comic was to make. Coming from the "I just woke up with total amnesia in my suit" school of Alberto Gonzales, you can go nuts weaving in observations about the petty ridiculousness we all accept without comment.

Pretty funny

Hits the long sharp thing right on the flat part.

Alzheimer's?

No! Farnsworth's! Funnier! What? Swordfish!

Sunday, June 10, 2007 09:47 PM

Lolz to tha wallz.

Am I too late? Did someone already accuse Tom of Phoning It In? I can recite PII to the eighth digit, but this comic had me laughing so hard Diet Coke came out of my nose.

Keep em coming!

It's not a cartoon,

it's a documentary.

Sunday, June 10, 2007 11:51 PM

Hilarious!

Really funny! I think, no, wait a minute. What was it about? Oh yeah, something called the Justice Department. A department devoted to, wait a minute, what's "Justice" again?

Monday, June 11, 2007 02:55 AM

Words! Pictures!

A lovely parody on the Republican's "Stoopid Defense", aka Evasion Tactic 2276c-841. Perfected by Reagan in the 1980's (Republicans are welcome to counter here by pointing out that Reagan probably wasn't faking it).

Evidently there's something about the White House which causes right-wing corporatist's to suffer from dain bramage. They really ought to be kept out for their own good. Not to mention ours.

We haven't failed to notice that the last three out of four Republican presidencies have been characterized by the grossest imaginable criminalities.

Did somebody say something?

wonderful!

Should be in every newspaper today! Thanks!

I'll say Vladimir [I call him Vladimir by the way] you don't need to fear the missile shield

They might be having their uncomfortable moments of oversight in the sun now that there are more Dems in the congress, but nothing will come of this, meanwhile in yet another distraction from the ongoing war in Oceania they have chosen to re-ignite the cold war and are picking a wholly unnecessary and highly dangerous fight with Putin . The American political system is inherently and essentially corrupt from top to bottom, GOP for being so vile and the Dems for being so easily bought off, intimidated, and quite simply for colluding. it's time for getting volcanically angry with these fascists and refuse to be intimidated, lied to or allowing the matter to drop.

Tom Tomorrow: as usual, incisive like a laser scalpel...

meremortal - it's a boondoogle

Dear Mere,

No, no, it's not about reigniting the cold war, it's about setting up decades of really juicy and totally unnecessary government contracts before BushCo leaves office. This will ensure years of continuing profits for and years of campaign donations from the corporations (GE, Carlisle Group, etc.), who receive the no bid contracts and the corporation (Halliburton) that receives the no bid contracts to maintain and support the on site facilities.

It's all about business - and any wars started and any dead bodies are just part of the ever so acceptable cost of doing business. Largely because its a cost never paid by those who start and profit from them.

It's just business.

The Way They Were 2005

Funnniest TMW I've seen in a long time. I dang near spit up a lung laughing! Thanks for the GREAT WORK, Tom!

@walter_map

the last three out of four Republican presidencies have been characterized by the grossest imaginable criminalities.

Who was the fourth? Ten bucks says they were just as criminal... Or as HST so famously declared, "[w]hy has every Republican president since Abraham Lincoln been so crooked that they need a brace of Secret Service men to help screw their pants on every morning?"

Great cartoon. Again.

.

Some say it's impossible to satirize the Bush administration, but TT succeeded admirably with this one. Haven't laughed that hard in a while.

Monday, June 11, 2007 04:22 PM

This one's a keeper

I don't think the Marx Bros. could have done it better. Bravo Mr. Tomorrow.

Monday, June 11, 2007 06:47 PM

Just when I thought I'd never laugh again about these guys -

I find myself narrowly avoiding doing a spit-take over my keyboard. Thanks, Tom!

This administration reminds me of the old joke about British comedies actually being documentaries....

Tuesday, June 12, 2007 07:59 AM

Ummm...

Man, I forgot what I was gonna say...

Tuesday, June 12, 2007 02:53 PM

Their prepared statements all should have begun with 'Who am I, and what am I doing here?'

That's one for the ages, Tom. It should be reprinted in accounts of the W years.

Judicious Hairstyle

Atty. Gen. Gonzales hair seems comical only now! Only with the observational powers of a cartoonist can such things be illuminated. If only that were the worst thing he'll be remembered for.

Wednesday, June 13, 2007 04:51 PM

Great drawings

It is amazing that TT is able to make the Bush administration schmucks so immediately recognizable given the short time available to work it out. It's a pity cartoons aren't able to capture the really strange voices of Ms. Goodling and Mr. Scholzman, who, come to think of it, sound like cartoon characters.

funny

best TMW ever
