If it appears to you that the attorney scandal is nothing more than political circus, as the Rebublikan talking point would like you to believe, then indeed you have not been paying attention, and are being a good little minion.
If you decide you'd actually like to be educated on this subject, there are several great articles here on Salon that succinctly explain why these firings were extraordinary in their scope and motive.
