  • NPR protest coverage

Hans said "Did anyone happen to catch NPR’s coverage of the weekend's anti war protests? One would think there were an equal number of pro war protesters given NPR’s coverage."

What got me was when the correspondent (I don't recall her name) referred to the war supporters as the "pro-troop" demonstration. As if those of us who want to get the troops out of Iraq - including those who never wanted to send them there in the first place - can't possibly be "supporting" them.

I'm not surprised by this sentiment from those who only hear the official line and right-wing talking points, but shouldn't "legitimate" media like NPR be more objective?
