Double Standard
The Opus cartoons are right on the money. It's high time we called these radicals exactly what they are and pointed them out.
To do otherwise, is to invite disaster.
I've often wondered what would happen if the radicals were actually Baptists, or Catholics, or Lutherans? I think we'd see a concerted effort to either rein them in or ban them outright. Instead, we don't want to offend the sensibilities of the "regular" Islamists. Heaven forbid! To my way of thinking, there are not enough of the "regular" ones calling on the radicals to stop what they're doing. If Islam is truly a religion of peace and if all they want to do is practice their religion, then there should be more of an outcry and denunciation of these over-the-top zealots.
Truth is being sacrificed on the altars of expediency and political correctness.
