that's steve dallas!
hilarious!
it is obvious to anyone who does a little research that children can thrive and do well in families with different compositions.
and this strip is a humorous way of getting that point across.
and it's not like brethed is saying "it's time to put a stop to male/female couples having kids!!"
he's just stating the ignorant stance of a large number of people in this country is somewhat absurd and that there are many kinds of positive parental adult role models for children of both sexes. and some negative ones (ha!)
and just as importantly....that last panel is really funny.
