Dexter? He's a freaking MASS MURDERER!

At least, that's what I'm told. I have PTSD and can't watch TV shows starring psychopathic killers actually doing their work on camera. And the fact that Ms. Lay is prolonging Jill's obvious demise is kind of making HER like Dexter.

Salon, we gotta get a twit filter for comments!

Obviously, the editor at Salon is incompetent to select good commentary on articles. Sorry Joan, but you are totally lame.

Let us select, and most especially, deselect who we interact with.

A whole host of losers and attention junkies use the LTTE feature to spew endless streams of boring crap.

We need a way to cut them off at the pass.

Give us a comments twit!

Come on Carol

I only read Salon because of your cartoons - that's how I found this site originally. Really, I used to be a big fan. This storyline however ... just make it stop please. Maybe you just need a break from writing? Perhaps team up with a good writer - your drawing style is great, no problem there.

Yeah I know, I could just stop reading, but as I said: I used to be a big fan, and each time I see that your cartoon is up, I just can't help hoping it would be something great, the kind of fantastic work you used to produce a few years ago.

Anyway, sorry about the negative comment, I'll try to ignore the strip in the future.

The "current" comic

Wow, people complaining about the current run of Waylay don't seem to realize that this is a re-run of strips from way back, since Carol is taking a break from weekly strips to work on a comic book.

From her website:

Also, I'm currently taking time off from the weekly strip, although I am sending reprints to various outlets while I work on the book. Subsequently, i won't be posting strips here for a while.

Click my name for a link to her website's FAQ explaining more.

Lay all the Way

I'm thoroughly enjoying the strip, the story, the dialogue, and especially CL's patented stylish graphics. Keep it up! And please ignore the inveterately obnoxious posts of tomreedtoon, who is simply trying out for Curmudgeon of the Year. (Sorry, tomreedtoon, McCain's got a lock on that one for 2008.)

Thanks, Chroma, for the info...

...if it is a re-print, Salon should've told us. Otherwise, snoozeville.

Meh

I'd say snoozeville, re-print or not.

i was worried at first

I thought that maybe I was going to see one of those "Chick Publications" religious tracts that I remember so well from high school...
