  • Re:Not the same

Proving once again that intelligence and commonsense, AKA street smarts, are mutually exclusive.

  • Intelligence and common sense

...are by no means mutually exclusive, but certainly one can only go so far without the other.

You know, I kind of like having WayLay on Fridays. As the work week moves along I always know there is one more interesting comic still come.

  • I love you

    Be mine.

  • That's sad

Not a stupid brain; a naive brain. But housed in the wrong body, it might not have fared much better.

But I promise next time I see a disembodied floating brain, I will try to think of something to say to it, thanks to this cartoon.

  • Anonymous.

It is not Valentine Day. But I do agree. Carol Lay's brain is shaped like a sweet heart. It is yummy. The candy company stamped on the sweet heart, "Be Mine." Anonymous requested...Carol Lay is wild heart. 'Be mine' too?

    It's good to share...

  • Poor brain

What a sad story. Maybe one day, brain will be valued for who it is.

  • What if it were a male brain?

As a woman, I found the moral of this story depressing but not inaccurate: you may think they love you for your brains alone, but without an appealing body, forget it. I wonder if men feel this as strongly.

  • Well, it works the same way

    for men, too.

  • Aw

Poor little brain. Come over here; I'll be your friend.

  • Well-written, Carol!

I'm a writer and a programmer; I spend too much of my time hidden away in my brain. I improve my brain; I constantly challenge it.

So I sympathize with this story. I know that a brain, and nothing else, doesn't attract other people.

    Well-written, Carol!

  • But but but

How many of youse "Brain Lovers" are really just brain-eating zombies?! Not to denigrate Zombie-Americans, of course, but Brains-without-Borders and the Zombie contingent are kind of mutually exclusive. :-)

  • Tinkering

    "tinker on itself"

    CLUNK!

  • Sounds like Carol Lay watched Heroes on TV

    The tinkerer sounds like Syler.

  • Nah

How many of youse "Brain Lovers" are really just brain-eating zombies?!

Balderdash. The thrill of the chase is almost more than half the fun in eating brain. Domestic just isn't the same as game brain.

But some of us zombies like to keep a little brain pet around the house, just for companionship.

  • brain tart

The things we're really appreciated for - great brains, and good heart, are as ugly as sin.

Isn't it good they're safely tucked away out of sight? Now what does our soul look like?

  • What is the ugliest part of your body?

    Some say your nose,

    Some say your toes,

But I think it's your mind.

    (Props to FZ)

  • From another perspective

In one bold, concise move, the woman managed to lose 125 pounds.

Being a woman, she still wondered if she looked a little fat.

  • nice

Lay does so much with a single page. Rare these days.
