Don't tell anyone I told you that!
  • Uh...

I think maybe you should hang out with some nicer men.

It always annoys me when a statistical study concerning some negative behavior by some men phrases its conclusion as if it were about all men; e.g. "men beat their wives to exercise control over relationships," "men kill their entire family as a way to lash back against the complexity of life," or "men, psychologically damaged by their failure in youth to make it as a watercolor painter in Austria, developed a complex, dark psychosis that drives them to become Der Fuhrer and murder millions." I know men are more statistically likely to become baby-rapers, or whatever, but not all men are assholes.

Why can't we say "some men make themselves feel better by betraying embarassing secrets about other people?"

It isn't fair to blame an entire group of people for the actions of a few members of that group.
