Imagining how Fox and the like would react if Sarah Palin were a black Democrat.

_Exactly_...

But IOKIYAAR...

Tuesday, September 23, 2008 08:16 PM

word...

is bond, Keef. You nailed it again.

Tuesday, September 23, 2008 08:37 PM

Ooooh...

I especially liked the last panel...

Imagine how they'd treat Sarah Palin

If she punched out a cop on the Congress steps because he dared ask for her ID, like Cynthia McKinney did. It would be awesome to see her inner hockey mom emerge like that chest busting alien.

The Right Wing Noise Machine and MSM

would have it all on a tape loop ala Rev Wright playing nonstop 7/24. How these people manage to elevate a one step above trailer trash neo-con wannabe to potentially the second most powerful position in the world is beyond comprehension. It is a Lewis Caroll through the looking glass moment. I keep expecting to wake up.

This

might just be the best thing Keef has ever done, apart from the baby.

gads.... The Last "Nonsense" comment.

Crows sing` the burlap sack that Keith Knight wears has two ground hogs in the rear-end, wiggling.

The Fox?

Maybe wear a pretty striped zebra suit.

Make sure it's black and white. A fairy.

Be so careful. No be hoodwinking that.

You best hope a possums bite behinds.

Expect no black-male `e-male mailed.

Hope no one gets offended for jesting.

one question

Great as always, keef.

What is that a picture of in the seventh panel? An angry little bug standing on top of a boombox?

Maybe it's obvious, but my addled brain can't make out what that is a drawing of.

But of course

the left is treating her with love and kindness. Get a grip. It goes both ways surprise, surprise. Haven't you noticed that Salon has done a hatchet job on her every day for about the last three weeks. Now there's some good, down-home, tender loving, tolerant, liberal kindness. Even Billy boy has noticed the vitriol, and has actually come to her defense.

What a hypocritical cartoon, Keef. Liberals hate just as well as anyone else, only in this case, most of the Salon articles are lampoonishly funny. "I'm a convict she wouldn't spring from jail, so I don't like her. She's a meanie..." Wooo, now there's a substantial criticism.

Keef keeps us happy while the mainstream press dithers

Mainstream press is actually up to WONDERING if race might have ANYTHING to do with the way people vote.

But then they're absolutely convinced that old farts like me couldn't possibly vote for Barack Obama. Why not?

Well, they say ... umm, ahh, hmmm...oh yeah -- because we don't like CHANGE.

"Change?"

Is that like "Uppity" (republican senator's description of Obama)

"Too Ambitious" McCain's euphemism for uppity.

Arrogant?

Well, we all know what that means.

Elitist -- at least it's off race and throwing crap at Senator Obama because educated and actually got good grades. And they throw that word around so much, makes you wonder if they think he's Jewish, cuz that's the particular turd they throw at the people of the Book.

If it weren't for Keef, we'd all be out her wondering if ANYONE else sees what we see -- or all we all mistaken.

("Naah, it's not race at all, just that people don't know him. Saying it's race is just slander stirred up by Jews and N---rs.")

The good news?

If the American Electoral College anoints John McCain, it will strike a fatal blow to racism, since the next 4 years will be spent by people WISHING they'd voted for the black guy.

Although that's kind of like saying "The good thing about Hitler was that he made anti-semitism unpopular."

Wednesday, September 24, 2008 09:48 AM

Funny but it's NOT just a "Black thing." It's a Democrat thing.

All she'd have to be is a "Democrat" of any color, and the comic strip would be true, albeit with a few alterations to make it less specifically ethnic.

@flicker87 & @Poco

Flicker87, it's an arm gripping a boombox. Tho antenna'd amoeba would've been my second choice. ;)

Poco, there's a remarkable difference between the toothless potshots from the left and the systemic destruction of the democratic process from the right. The left, by and large, plays by the rules and expects everyone else to: The left's shock at the total and complete flagrant disregard for governance in general by the right is matched only by the public's cynicism as to the left's ability to stop it.

There is no mirror image of lies, vitriolic invective and utter criminality. There is no left equivalent of Limbaugh, Norquist, Rove or Abramoff. The mere implication you give voice to, Poco, is yet another shocking lie piled on top of the 30 years of shocking lies that has all but destroyed our American democracy. You should be ashamed of yourself, but I'm fairly certain you don't have a soul anyway.

@rott635

Thanks rott635 !

I see it now, and it's oh so obvious. So clear and obvious that I almost feel dumb for asking now. But thanks, I can move on with my day now having that question answered :-D

Sarah Palin

Nice slant to your cartoon - not that I'd expect different. The only problem is that there's only one Fox News and a whole brigade of left slanting media outlets pushing your same agenda. How come nobody wants to create the cartoon that shows how the same Sara Palin would be worshipped and celebrated by CNN, MSNBC, The NY Times, and Salon.com if she were a black democrat? Or, just a female democrat? When Hillary Clinton was this close to making history it was applauded, only replace her with a conservative woman and its a "step back for women?"

I wonder when the media is going to get wise to the fact that nobody but liberals buys into this and that you're becoming more irrelevant each day you trade your credibility for your own political agenda.

Not that I'd expect this to actually be posted. Like most media outlets that pretend to champion freedom of speech, you're only really interested in those opinions that support you're own. Heaven forbid there should be any evidence that most Americans disagree with you.

Come on, Salon! Let's see some cartoons about Barack Obama and his connection to a white-hating church. Or, Joe Biden and his mis-representation of the catholic church. No, that would be unfair, right?

case and point

"Fairlybalanced" is a prime example that all the Republican party needs to do is continually accuse liberals of what they themselves are guilty of and the Dems will be so busy tripping over themselves to correct the public over the latest mock "scandal" that they won't be able to actually defend good governance.

The best defense is a good offense, right, FB?
