What's so "happy" about pregnancy?

  • Am 1st

Tuesday void, angry letters. Our punishment. "You don't like what's for dinner, you don't get any dinner! Upstairs! No video games!" Well, such as it is, I always enjoy TKC. Yay Keef!

  • Happy movements

Wait till you meet Gravy eye to eye, while the little thing is comfortably warm and lulled into mama's lap, hanging on her breast, suckling and looking her tenderly in the eyes.

These are the moments that make it all worthwhile...

    ...and happy.

    :-)

  • My wife hated being pregnant

But we liked the end product. Which I guess is why we have four of 'em scurrying around (I'm awake now b/c I just had to feed the youngest).

  • Way to hurt the world, Keef.

Dude, I totally thought you were cool. But having kids, man...that just makes you old; and having kids in America, in this day and age? Just selfish, dude, for real.

I know you're gonna make a kick-ass dad, but the world would still be better off if 90% of the population held off on kids for....ever.

I'm never having kids, and I'll happily let the morons inherit the earth, since that seems to be the way it's going anyway.

Sorry to rant, but seriously, Keef, there's a reason some kids get confused with intrauterine cancer. Only difference is we're out of the womb now.

  • re: diddlypop

It's hard to argue against "kick-ass" parents having one kid, diddlypop, even in America, even in this day and age. That's a net population loss over time.

  • Good Luck!

I can't wait until you start writing about Gravy.

    Peace,

    XY

  • Huh? What? It's Wednesday?

Sorry, guys -- I must have overslept!

I'm not crazy about overpopulation, either, but the way to solve it isn't by stopping people who can and will be good parents from having at least one child. It's the responsible people we want to be having children. And I certainly don't think they should deny themselves children simply because other people have been irresponsible.

Still, I don't envy you the next few years in the least, Keith -- but good for you and wifey!

  • @ Kansas O'Flaherty

Kansas, it's good to see that you're still alive.

I missed you SOOOOO much yesterday.

    ;)

  • And this is your business how?

Oooh, ooh, I just LOVE commenting on people's personal choices! Nothing makes me feel better than to offer my unsolicited opinion on a couple's personal choice to start a family.
