Nulla Salus, try to keep up.
We are not bombing Iran, not yet, anyway, because the CIA had the courage to release a National Intelligence Estimate that pulled Bush/Cheney back from the brink. Bush is fuming about it, of course, telling his dear dear friends in Saudi Arabia that he doesn't believe a word of it, because sometimes those dumb spooks get mixed up and don't tell him what he wants. But it will be a lot harder even for authoritarians like Bush to bulldoze the country into war again on flimsy evidence now that at least one government agency has found its, er, backbone and done something to prevent him. That isn't to say he won't try, of course.
