  • I can't believe...

...that the so-called "journalist" is still laughing at drunk-shirtless-hat-guy. That was so last 7:19!

    Thanks for the laffs...

  • "Journalism?"

What's that? Isn't that something they used to have back in the seventies? Could somebody explain this?

  • glenn are you watching?

someone show this to glenn greenwald, it's right up his alley.

another great product from Mr. Bolling, CEO TDB Inc.

  • The first response I had was I've not the foggiest notion what Ton the dancing Stink Bug is trying to say?

I determined the cartoonist Ruben was saying we should go bowling and bounce rubber green balls and watch You-Tube? He says lots in a small space.

The comments from others 'tip' ya off. Comments from some people are comming from former brain surgeons? Other thoughts make me feel as a equal debilitated nincompoop. A war-torn vet.

We all see via our personal experiences. How does Tom the Belly Dancer Bug say so much with little sketches in blocks and such concise comments? This is very enviable? I set myself up and rant and rant like a fool. An anonymous will butt in and say you 'crapper' in a few words. If I can't figure what's said fro him I'll conclude Nothing was said!

There is much talk about pluralism, liberalism, party-affiliations, and who to donate donut's to? Do I send pennies from heaves to libertarianism, conservatism, nudism, and/or the Purple Heart society?

    A "community"...[!] [?] Humph.

    Any aggrieved people can gripe.

For example: Those old cliches "up/down" flashed-back. My "chemical" malfunctioning brain of fried neurons, synaptic backfiring, and dumb-stricken sensitization reminded me of 35-years ago when war was happening.

The Fundy-Macintyre-politico's ilk hated the red commies.

The domino theory was alive, and preached from pastor bumblebee.

I rode past a graveyard one day, stopped, got out to walk about, and wept for millions of dead and displaced Southeast Asians. Peasants were caged in barbed-wire, Strategic Hamlets, and way over THERE forgot about (?) because the government HERE forced them-peasant-farmers to be driven from their ancestral farm-villages.

Journalist were pretty much hushed about the "Community" and Agrarian Places which were uprooted THEN. It was far away over THERE. The politicos HERE were sanctioned. The Media continued to permit the Lies to flow up-and-down, and pretty much, the HATE flowed freely.

LIES were unchallenged (journalism turned to swim nude contest and were entertaining each other watching TV You-Boobs).

Yea, and global "pluralism" was tolerated or hushed? NOW the "Journalism" politics destroys Iraq etc., with a $70-billion SMACKER courtesy gift to the war-monger GOPS to virtually destroy more people.

Now there will be even more destructive Unsettling of the rural countryside communities. The local ecosystems will be assured to be more poisoned. There will be millions of more children with scattered families fleeing as refugees. There will be more destroy local sustainable economies. The urban starvation's and malnutrition will worsen from stopped/obstacles in the food delivery systems.

All this in the name of "improvement" of the state of affairs in the war-torn blood-lands. Democracy! Yep, the "global economy" is fine? Sop.

A people, in a word, honestly, IF, IF, IF 'community'...IF it is to mean anything, it must refer to a place (in its integrity) and its People. IT must sense a interlinked realization the Iraq/Afghan ruin is OUR ruin! Community extends globally. The government even uses the world global community! Responsibility!

There is a built in COMMUNIAL and cultural relationship that is uniform between a nation and a continent, and "community" must include all places on the globe. Yes.

    I must be extra cranky?

What a backward, unprogressive, shallow, hypocritical, and horrible GOP is exposed in DC (Glenn reading?). The utter failure extends to the poor suffering people HERE. Look also toward the victims of the war in the broadest dimensions. We/me must dare mention to one-another this season...

Is there any hope for Peace on Earth? Not as long as a GOP mentality exist...

Look at the suffering onslaught. Consider the taxed-people and the waste of these war expenditures...Waste. The Profits trickle for the loyal journalism scribes!?!

Yesterday we cringe as Bush gives a poo-poo energy talk about saving oil at the Dept. of Energy-fools!

Oh, how about 35-years ago ya's naked You-Tube steroid ball-bouncer sitting drunk on a bed? Okay, go, go, goya's scribe-journal, broken-record, record-keeper....O, just a damn 'dinky dao'....creeps..."Journalist, tell how wonderful and charming the Pres is?

Do what the gop Wall Street cheer "leader" says? Wow-so respectable? Yea Capital Hill. Give a tax-paid $70-billion gift-bonus to Halibut, and Holy Mackerel, stink, thugs, creeps, bloodsoaked, dancing neocon bugs...O, a dirty,

    Bellybuttons ilk.

    A Merry Dick. Yuck.

    Tom the Dancing Bug?

    You gonna forgive me?

    Merry Tom the Dancing Bug.

  • Why Not Present Both Sides?

True journalism in this Brave New World means they would have three experts telling us why up is down, and one quote from a member of the opposing camp trying to explain why up is up, and then report on the controversy. Journalists are very "big picture", they don't want to get involved in the scuffle, merely report on it and let the consumer, er- reader, decide. This, by the way, is also how 21st century science is done.

  • What's so funny?

I used to work as a newspaper reporter. What's so funny about showing the inner workings of the average newsroom?

That strip is so dead-on it's scary, right down to watching YouTube on a company computer.

  • Tom The Dancing Bug Tomorrow

This week's episode of seems to have been penned by Mr Tomorrow. It's a biting satire of social and political dynamics, yes, but that's what I usually see on Mondays. And I love TIT (woah, that IS the abbreviation). TTDB is typically a genre-bending postmodern anachronistic comic strip. I enjoyed the execution, especially the evenly balanced frat-boy dialogue, but the joke seems to fall a bit flat, if I may say so. Yeah, those crazy opportunistic journalists with no sense of reason or logic. They're crazy. And no penguins. See ya next Thursday!
