I'm afraid I have no idea what this cartoon is getting at. And before you ask, I'm perfectly aware of things like the phony "War on Christmas" and other such nonsense. This comic seemed like it was going somewhere important for a while but then lost it. Nice try.

The Cartoon's Message

was pretty damn obvious to me. Not the best God-Man strip ever, but still funny. I just hope God-Man has been good this year or he might find coal in his stocking.

In Praise of Santa

What I like about Santa is that he's a supernatural imaginary friend that you are _supposed_ to grow out of. By his example Santa calls all the other mythical beings into question. Therefore I consider Santa Claus to be a kind of patron saint of skepticism. When he vanishes, he leaves behind the priceless gift of doubt. How generous!
