PAYBACK IS A BITCH
[Read the article: Why Obama denounced Wright]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Obama has tried to have it all ways, and that includes his relationship with Wright. He threw Wright over the night before he announced he was running for President. So clearly, he knew the guy was going to be problematic.
Obama didn't choose that church for spiritual reasons. He chose it like most of us would regard adding something we thought we needed for our resumes'. Obama got his religion at Harvard in case anyone is confused here.
Obama was being asked about Wright as far back as atleast December that we know of. He ignored it. And until the tapes surfaced a few weeks back, the Obama campaign strategy was not to discuss race on any level - except to accuse people in the Party of being racists when it served him.
Obama and his platitudes coach put that Philly speech together because THEY HAD TO - NOT BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO. At first blush, it appeared that Obama was displaying character and intellectual prowess by separating out Wright's words from the man himself. Remember Obama said he could not disavow his relationship with Wright. Those were kind words - or WERE THEY?
Wright's surfacing at this time is not an accident. Obama lied in that Philly speech and Wright knew it. It has been reported that Obama called Wright the night before he announced he was running for President and told him that he could not be involved in the announcement or the campaign. Obama already disavowed and distanced himself. The rest of us just didn't know it.
Now, don't go getting all excited and start handing out Obama Martyr Coats, complete with Chips-On-The-Shoulder inserts! Obama is not a victim here by any means.
CAN YOU SAY PAYBACK IS A BITCH?

IN HIS DEFENSE? IN HIS DEFENSE?
[Read the article: When did Obama start running for president?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]They guy is a manipulative liar and you want to keep defending him for it? Hasn't this country had enough liars as President?
The Obama campaign has been one of the most deceptive campaigns ever assembled. You, the media, need to stop kissing his ass and start vetting him.
Wright surfacing this past week was not an accident. Can you say payback? Check into it.
The Obama campaign has deliberately, as a strategy, diluted and overwhelmed the core, frequently voting, regular Democratic Party base, especially in the Caucus states. "We are who we've been waiting for," said Obama. Oh really? Who the hell are you? A bunch of newly registered 20 year olds and left wing leftovers from the Democratic stoned age?
Obama can't connect with working-class Democrats because his strategy was never to connect with them at all! That comment about small town, working people and bitterness that he made in San Francisco was one of the most honest things he's said in over 4 years! And the most telling. Obama and his left-wing financiers don't give two shits about working-class Americans.
No one should be confused about why Obama would be at Wrights' church. It was a status thing. It was what one does to add another important element to one's thin resume'. Obama didn't get his religion at Jeremiah Wrights' Church of Wright and Wrong. He got it at Harvard. And it will take him about another 10 years to get that stick out of his ass too.
Obama talks a good game, but has no game. He never intended to discuss race in his campaign because he and his high-priced spread consultants knew that if it became about race, Obama loses! He gave the Philly speech because he HAD to, not because he WANTED to.
And yes, I'm sure he got steamed when Wright insinuated that Obama was just another politician saying what he needed to say. And Wright was right.

AND WE ARE OUTRAGED...
[Read the article: Obama: "I am outraged"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]about Obama's continuing charade!
There are no coincidences in politics. Wright surfacing was a direct response to the sappy speech Obama gave in Philly, where it even appeared on surface that Obama was saying kind things about him; i.e., he could not disavow him, but didnt' agree with his words; yes he heard other sermons, but no he did not hear other sermons, etc.
What we didn't know was that Obama had already distanced himself from Wright last year and had told him he was not going to be involved in Obama's campaign, including his announcement. Obama threw him under the bus.
Obama is a dishonest person. He lied in Philly. Wright knew it. Obama's people knew it. And Wright called him out about it.
He's just another politician saying what he needs to say to get by. Obama was being asked last December about Wright. He ignored it.
It was payback. And Obama's outrage wasn't about Wrights' words. It was about Wright throwing Obama under the bus.
