  • OH, PLEASE!

[Read the article: The rubes and the elites]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Is there anything worse than an elitist trying to describe what a "small town" anything is?

Obama on a tractor is about as close to the Dukkakis photo of him in a tank as one can get. Obama wouldn't know his ass from a pitch fork on a farm.

There is no long-standing rift in the Democratic party. Smelling blood, and a chance to get the White House, the far lefties, the real elitists of the party who live to stick it to the far righties, and who are mostly affluent, white folks who don't have to worry too much about where their next meal is coming from, are pushing their liberal mouth piece, Barack Obama, up the ladder since his days of running for Illinioi State Legislature.

The rest of the party, those of us who more closely reflect the views of the middle class Americans, and probably just left of center, are all too mindful of how we lost the White House years ago - and what it took to get it back!

HRC, for all her faults, more closely resembles the just left of center Democrats, the middle class, and the majority of those who reside in the suburbs and rural small towns where this race with be decided this November. Obama will not carry Ohio. He probably won't carry Pennsylvania, Michigan, and maybe not even Florida. And it won't be because of rifts or HRC supporters. It will be because he will be rejected because of who he is, what he stands for, and who he has associated himself with all these years, including Rev. Wright, Resko, and others.

So, tell me again, why this guy has been pronounced King of the Democrats by a gushing media?

  • OH, HERE WE GO AGAIN

[Read the article: Kristol plays the Marx card]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

the battle between the two far, fanatic sides of each Party: The far lefties who first put Obama in the Illinois statehouse, and are now trying to put him him in the White House, and the far righties who put American neo-con Idols, Bush and Cheney, in the White House.

See, here's the thing that most people who report on such crap won't tell you, or don't understand: The far lefties and far righties would rather stick it to each other with some outrageous policy, and a White House power trip, than actually do anything for the majority of Americans. If the truth be told, neither side understands a damn thing about the majority of Americans that they exploit with their own brands of political ideology - and both of them hold the masses in contempt and both sides practice extreme forms of paternalistic crap - they think they know what is best for EVERYONE. Just ask 'em.

The joke is on the American people.

  • OBAMA HAS ONLY HIMSELF

[Read the article: Don't blame San Francisco for Obama's "Bittergate"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

to blame for his own words! It was proably one of the first intellectually honest things to come out of his mouth in public (even though it was behind closed doors!)since his campaign started. I'm sure the words were not carefully crafted as has been viruatlly every other platitude that has come out of his mouth to mirror the latest poll.

And I'm sick and tired of his sexist, arrogant attitude toward his opponent - now we know where his younger, particularly white male, supporters get their hate speech. I actually heard a white, middleage man at an Obama event yesterday, April 15th, on MSNBC, say to Obama that he thought Clinton's use of the word "elitist" actually was a little to close to the word "uppity," and he went on to say that was probably another racist statement by Clinton!

If that guy had any understanding of the word "elitist," he would not have needed to blame Clinton to defend Obama from his own words. And if he did understand the word "elitist," and still chose to attack Clinton as a racist, then I want out of the Democratic party - NOW!

  • HOW HARD CAN IT BE...

[Read the article: Criminals of the world, unite and take over]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

to include the elimination of slavery and human trafficking as part of one's conditions for doing business? It isn't hard at all. So, why is it not being done?

I am appalled at the way men - yeah men! - in this world behave and act, including the so-called religious leaders (the Pope apologizing for the Catholic Church's systematic abuse of children for atleast 50 years!). Men are what's wrong with the world toay, and men need to start bringing pressure to bear on themselves -and each other - to clean up this world, and stop acting like it's everybody else's problem - or worse, like it's no problem at all.

If another group single group of people were single-handedly committing the overwhelming majority of the crimes, killing, raping women, trafficking in humans, polluting the air and water, arming children and forcing them to kill others, selling dangerous arsenals to those who least need them, and the host of other evils that men are doing all over this world, we would banish them from our communities. Maybe it's time that men were banished.

A research study a few years ago indicated that the genetic make-up of men, that extra chromosone, would eventually make them extinct. I can see why - and I can't wait.

  • UGH!

[Read the article: Evernote: Software to help you remember everything, forever]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Just what we all need and want: yet more damn time spent isolated from others and everything else important while we work on our "memories" of others, things, events, places, etc. Does anyone else see a problem with this fixation of all things technical? The navel-gazers will think it's just great, I'm sure. And will not be able to "wow" us with constant talk about what they "memorized" today, yesterday, and what they are going to "memorize" tomorrow. Somebody get me one of those little bottles of vodka and a parachute. I'm outta here.
