  • Matthews is An Ass.

[Read the article: Matthews rails against "Clinton-centric world" ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Does anyone really watch this guy anymore? Or much of anything else on MSNBC? They have all become caricatures of themselves.

Chris Matthews tooks credit when Hillary Clinton ran for the U.S. Senate. He could not say enough about her. Now, mysteriously, he questions "their entitlement?" What about the entitlement package that wraps itself around Obama's first campaign in Illinois and now? Those white, affluent, elitist liberal, pompous asses who have always been above the economic messes that they and their conservative neo-con counterparts seem to make of our country!

Barack Obama is a carnival show. And Chris Matthews is a has-been who has nothing else to talk about.

  • (yawn) HO HUM

[Read the article: The GOP attack plan for Hillary Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

And what do Republicans see as the attack plan for McCain? The party that has brought us a severe economy, high gas and food prices, more scandal that was convicted in the last 8 years than was ever proven against the Clintons, lie after lie, failed oversight on just about everything, the Katrina mess, Iraq, and now a failure in Afghanistan is going to drag up a blue dress and some back woods real estate deal?

    Oh, okay.

  • YEAH, INSTEAD, LET'S WATCH...

[Read the article: Pretty heads will roll ]

the Flavour of Love, or Bad Girls, or one of the really, really good fare on TV today.

  • WHERE THE HELL YOU BEEN?

[Read the article: Not just cute girls with pom-poms]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

In the mid 60's cheerleading was considered an athletic endeavor. I don't know what rock you've been living under, or what your early influences have been,, but long before ESPN subjected us to yet another arm-pit smelling contest, cheerleaders competed as athletes in their sport, with city, regional, and state competitions.

We took cheerleading very seriously, with curfews before games, rules for conduct while in uniform, and other standards that took it from being just another popularity contest for pretty girls whose moms brought the cookies to the school PTA meetings to very competitive try-outs between girls who knew their jumps, splits, and flips.

Every summer there was cheerleading camp too where we learned new cheers, made friends with girls from all over the state, and competed for various awards throughout the week. Cheerleading taught teamwork, leadership, and athletic competitiveness. Until Title IX came along later in the 70's, there were few other atheletic outlets for females to learn these traits.

But, here you are! Thinking that because you saw it on ESPN you have discovered something! No, you haven't.

  • Well, Golly Gee...

[Read the article: Nancy Reagan to endorse McCain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

And other than John McCain, who really cares what Nancy Reagan does? Ronald Reagan, the man who gave us trickle-down, supply side voodoo economics, mergers and acquisitions and cannabalized companies, triple trade deficits in less than 2 years in office, defined catsup as school lunch vegetable, looked the other way while cheap heroin and crack was dumped into our major cities, refused to acknowledge aids/HIV as an epidemic in the U.S., authorized the Iran-Contra mess, and ran a White House basement operation for thugs in military uniforms should have been impeached.

  • MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL!

[Read the article: Work sucks? Blame her!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Reading this crap from you whiners makes my blood boil! My mother worked in a so-called male-dominated factories from the 1950's until she retired in 1994. She didn't earn equal pay for equal work until she went to work in a union plant in the mid 1960's, and then we had to move to another part of the state, leaving family and friends, for her to have the job. She didn't have health care insurance and up to 6 weeks of paid vacation until she went to work in that union plant.

So, what's the message again? The problem with you white, liberal elites is that somehow you don't take into account how the rest of the world has been living, including the women you want to blame for freakin' everything.

  • AH, RANK CAPITALISM...

[Read the article: A new form of BYOB]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

...don't ya just love it? Crass commericialism has done more to mess up our culture and country than any other single thing/person, except George W. Bush and friends.

  • CHILDLESS WOMEN ARE MORE PRODUCTIVE...PERIOD

[Read the article: Do childless women make the most productive lawyers?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Ever listen to a woman with children today? That's her excuse for EVERYTHING. It's like no one ever had a baby before she did! Whine, rationalize, excuses -- can't do nothing because of "the kid(s)."

Can't participate in a working dinner because of "the kids." Can't stop for a drink and conversation because of "the kids." Can't travel on the job because of "the kids." Can't work late because of "the kids." Can't take a special assignment that requires a few more hours each day because of "the kids."

When married women are asked where their husbands are, they look at you with a big blank face.

  • TELL THE GARDNER

[Read the article: The strange case of midnight renegade oleander gentrification camouflage]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

that you will have him arrested for tresspassing if he comes back and does anything else to a property that the neighbor doesn't own and that the owner has not requested his services.

Wait until the son comes back home and ask him if you can replant those oelanders to another part of the yard, or return them to the person who so rudely put them there anyway - whichever he prefers.

Get with the son and the mother and tell them that you have people coming to (paint, mow lawns, fix whatever) and would like to split their time on the job between you and them. Tell them the services are already paid for, and it would be a shame to not take advantage of their being there and their willingness to do additional work for free.

It's a white lie, but it allows them to save face and maybe get somethings done that improve the over-all appearance of the property.
