[Read more letters about this article: Here]Every political strategist worth his/her salt knows that the only reason Barack Obama was standing up there trying to discuss race is because HE WAS FORCED TO!
He could have used the opportunity back in South Carolina, or anyplace along the campaign trail, couldn't he? What? Did he think we didn't notice he was black although he and his campaign refused to acknowledge it?
If the tapes of Wright has not surfaced when they did, do you really think Obama would have made that speech? HELL NO!
It started off okay, then lapsed into yet another Obama-Rama lecture. Maybe we should create a new Department of Homeland Lecture and appoint Obama to it.
The number one problem in this country is our ability to live, eat, breathe, and drink clean water with a roof over our heads - not race.
The TV talking heads couldn't help put piss their pants over this mess. Where were THEY two months ago when a black man was running for President of the United States? Oh yeah, waiting for Hillary Clinton to drop so they could get up his butt completely. I forgot.

Do we want someone as President who will lecture us to death about not having enough "hope" or do we want someone who will get us where we need to go?
Obamais a great speaker. So what? I'm tired of the entire self-righteous act, him, and that campaign staff that is intellectually dishonest as the day is long.
Does anyone really think Barack Obama would be talking about race if he WASN'T FORCED TO TALK ABOUT IT? Hell no! After all, he's had over a year to say these same things and he hasn't. And let me tell you why: Because if he talked about race, he loses. He knows it, his strategists know it, and so does his staff. And that is why he and his wife have rehearsed their standard operating responses to the issue of their race - and why it has not been a part of the Obama-Rama Side Show.
And today I am reminded of that cutesy Camille Paglia's comments that Obama is still too "dewey and reserved" for the working class to have gotten a chance to know him yet. What bullshit. Written like a true pompous ass who thinks that the only reason why anyone would outright reject the guy as President is because they just don't know him "like we do."
What arrogance, intellectually dishonest, and pompous asses are associated with Obama's side show. And that's why I am not supporting him and won't vote for him this November. I have nothing in common with him or his backers.

How ironic that the "craddle of civilization" was being treated so uncivilly, and that Western civilized leader George W. Bush, and his civilized co-horts, did not think, or care, to protect them. It just goes to show you that people wearing suits are not necessarily civilized, are they?

I like Tyler Perry's character, Medea. She's funny, down-to-earth, and refuses to succumb to the thangs-of-the-minute. She has her own way of championing the values that mean the most to family. And I think that those black actors with the gripes are humorless prigs.

Consumers Expectations

We expect all aircraft to be free of malfunctions, whether it's the 49 cent fuse light or something bigger and more deadly. We expect the company to abide by all rules, procedures, and regulations and saying "we didn't know" is not an excuse. It makes you look inept and untrustworthy.
Airline travel has devolved into a messy, inconvenient, and consumer-hostile experience. To ask us to put up with planes that are not mechanically up-to-speed, big cracks or little cracks, is the ultimate insult.
