You tell a guy who's living in the suburbs, making over $100,000 a year with overtime from the GM plant, has an RV, a boat, a motorcycle, a $250,000 home with a two-car garage, kids in middle school, wife who is probably a nurse/teacher/office professional bringing in another $45,000 a year, who has 4 weeks paid vacation each year, can afford Disneyland anytime he wants it, that the reason he isn't cozying up to Obama is because Obama's still "dewey."
I want to be there for that conversation! lol
Obama will NEVER reach the so-called working-class whites because HE and YOU do not know who they are, but you suspect who they MIGHT be, and you don't want a damn thing to do with ANY OF THEM. I challenge anyone who thinks Obama is a "man of the people" in the vein of Jackson or Roosevelt. He isn't. And he has no track record to say otherwise. Actally, he has no track record at all, does he?
The so-called white working class of this country are the pragmatic voters who smell phoney-baloney at 20 paces. Obama supporters seem to be the elitist, navel-gazing, liberal asses that sit around falling in love with ANYTHING that is opposite the status quo, and, of course, everyone who is "just brilliant!"
Obama is right up Philadelphia's myopic, liberal, left-over Hippies from the 70's asses! You all have done such a good job of letting your city rot from the inside out with one-party corrupt rule. Why should any Democrat any place across America trust your judgment?
Philly: Where the liberal white players still treat African-Americans like children and use them to their own ends. Where everyone considers himself or herself "an activist" even if they haven't done a damn thing since 1980 except make money. Philly: The Democrats that gave the word "liberal" such a bad meaning, we had to go and find another word, "progressive."
Let's see: Where are all those feminists now when they finally get a chance to back up their 40 years of bitching? Shouldn't they be turning out in droves for HRC? Oh yeah. I forgot. They will back the black guy because it's so much more of a "liberal" statement than supporting the white woman.
Liberals, heal thyself.

How nice that you have it all figured out so the rest of us can just lap it up. And we're so impressed that all the women you idolize are European. And how can we disagree with your take on Hillary Rodham Clinton? I mean, you know her personally so well, right? I guess we all cannot aspire and achieve Pompous Ass status like you, Dearie.
Interestingly, many of us who have been raising children (and not neglecting them for lesbian affairs, by the way) have been watching now for over 30 years how corporate-greed and indifference have been reducing our femaleness down to nothing more than another shade of lip gloss. And yes, we watch in horror as yet another Hanhah Montana-like marketing phenom is created to tap into our pocket books.
And yet even YOU hold out actors as the real heros to be imitated, copied, and worshipped - and the only difference is your list is from another era and country. Were these women the same off the screen as on the screen? No.
Neither you and your intellectual crap, or Hollywood, have the market cornered on defining feminism or what should be female. Thought we had that debate decades ago?
In the words of today's misguided youth, "Bitch, please!"

[Read more letters about this article: Here]They call men's health issues in advertisements by their names; i.e., erectile dysfunction, "if you experience an erection lasting...," and so forth. So, yes, I would be offended at a spot that used a beaver or other slang expression to discuss a very normal product that we all know exists. I'm tired of womens' health being trivialized and taking a back seat anyway. Reducing it to a cartoon makes the issue of womens' health seem childish - and offensive.

According to Dr. Laura and a few other nuts out there every time a man screws up - or just plains screws - it's the significant female in his life's fault! Why do we have a feeling that Elliot Spitzer was gonna do whatever he wanted to do - period! I mean, that has been how he's operated in every other facet of his life, so why not in the adultery department too?
I'm sick of women tearing down women, especially to boost their own pocketbooks, as Dr. Laura and others do. They are train wreck and auto accident freaks.
