RE: STICK WITH THE FIVE-LEGGED CALF ACT
"On the most important commander in chief test of our generation, he got it right, and Senator Clinton got it wrong ..."
No, the most important Commander-in-Chief test of our generation was when George W. Bush and Condisleeza Rice had to choose between keeping and using the White House Counter-Terrorism Task Force in 2001, or dismantling it in early 2001. The Task Force was the first of it's kind, created by the Clinton Administration, knew more about terrorism and Al Qaida than any other government agency, and was finally eliciting cooperation between and among other government departments.
I have said that your campaign has been intellectually dishonest from jump-street, and this is yet another example. You have done not a damn thing since you got to Congress, including holding hearings on the next miserable failure of war, Afghanistan. And if a vote for the invasion of Iraq was a big generational mistake, then your continuing to fund it after you already were so damned against it makes you...what?
Of course HRC has more experience than you do. She is older, has been around government for over 30 years, was married to a Governor, and was in the White House for 8 years. She knows how the mulit-faceted aspect of government works, understands what the priorities of the Oval Office are each day, and won't need an 18 month to 2 year learning curve. Sorry, but that does count for something.
Here's your experience list:
1. Organized an neighborhood.
2. Ran for and served in the Democratic-controlled Illinois state legislature, where even your peers said you were unremarkable.
3. Ran for and now serves in the U.S. Senate, where you again have done much of nothing, and failed to shed oversight on another Bush folly war: Afghanistan.
4. Gave a speech at the Democratic Convention in 2004 where Democrats would have cheered ANYONE!
5. Started believing your own PR.
And I, for one, resent your "us Dems vs. them Dems" mentality, stating that you and your supporters are the new face and leaders of my Democratic Party. While, "yes you can," the hell you will! With an attitude like that, Mr. Uniter, you can go back to Illinois and ask Oprah to find you a show of your own.
And while we're at it, Geraldine Ferraro got it right this week. If you had been a white guy with no experience you wouldn't have even made it to Mississippi. What is it about race that you and your team want to keep acting like doesn't exist while you gladly scarf up all those African-American votes? Again, intellectually dishonest.
No, you guys need to stick with what works for you: The Brother Love Traveling Salvation Show selling snake-oil to those who want so desperately to believe - and the white, elitist, wealthy liberals who are above the economic policies that they try to influence for the rest of us and just want to shove it back in the face of their right-wing nut counterparts.
Someday, we do hope there will be an African-American as President of the United States. I can think of numerous individuals who have worked hard for many decades, and would be more than experienced and prepared to lead our country. You, however, are not yet in their league.

(yawn!)
[Read the article: John McCain runs for George Bush's third term]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Oh, sorry, I should've covered my mouth. Have you listened to John McCain speak? I have concluded that his wife, lovely as she is, should be dressed in a white, starched, nurse's uniform, complete with little hat.
Please, oh please, somebody tell me that this guy will NOT be president, that the American people are NOT that stupid and needy, and that we will NOT have another 4 more years of Iraq boogie men.
