  • GETTING A BAD RAP

[Read the article: A non-paranoid's guide to superdelegates]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The superdelegates are getting a bad rap from the Obama-ites, who think that threatening and whining will get them everywhere. Many of the superdelegates will probably do what is politically convenient for themselves; i.e., vote the way their constituents want them to vote, etc.

But let's remember one thing: Many of these delegates are elected officials of our cities, counties, and states. They have been on the front line of Bush's failed foreign policies and failed domestic policies. They understand what is feasible with governent and what is not plausible. And they are going to want someone who understands how to get stuff done sooner - rather than later.

I would have to say to them that if they - and America - can wait until Obama gets his legs underneath him, and gets about a year-long learning curve behind him, then consider Obama.

But, if they know the issues facing our country to be serious, and they know the country needs to see results within the first 100 days, then they should support Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton, by virtue of having lived in the White House for 8 years, knows where the bathrooms are, and the War rooms.

She understands what a Cabinet does and how to start moving the various government agencies to get something done.

Obama is a great speaker. But American doesn't need a motivational concert. We need someone with depth of background and a well-rounded understanding of what can, and cannot, be done.

  • JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU...

[Read the article: The troublesome priest]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

...that when you give these religious nuts equal power with government they always find a way to abuse it to their own ends. Religion, and those who can't get enough of it, have rationalized every act of cruelty they have perpetrated against humans - and perpetuated that cruelty in the name of God.

I, for one, am sick of them all.

  • DREDGE DRUDGES DIRT - OH WOW!

[Read the article: The Obama photo flap]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The Dredge report circulated crap against both Obama and Clinton: Obama with the photo and Clinton by suggesting they were behind it. We all know right-wing nuts use Dredge consistently and frequently as their peon of choice.

  • IS THIS REALLY A DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY?

[Read the article: The dude vote]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Between the 18-24 year olds who have little frame of reference and no voter history of being Democrats, the males who don't want a female in the White House, the independents who just want to ride the Obama-rama at the Carnival, and the Democratic women who think they are so liberal that they can actually vote for a black guy over a woman - WHERE THE HELL ARE THE REAL DEMOCRATS?

When I look at November all I see are two more guys. Now, where I ask you, is the earth-shattering history here? And I don't care what color they are. Men are men and seldom let a thang like color sway them from being men.

I want female in the White House and I think Hillary Clinton is being forced to pay for all the sins of her male husband - yet another cheap shot at her candidacy. Just ask Obama about it. He thinks that Fox News featuring a "Where Are They Now" with Monica Lewinsky (should HRC be the nominee) is just too horrific to put the country through, and well, "let's turn the page."

Well, YOU turn the page, Interloper! And take that retread McCain with you. We can't wait another year while you misspeak yourself, figure out where the coatrooms are in the White House, and bumble around like anyone who first comes into the White House does. Nothing personal. We just have serious issues to deal with here.

I'm very upset that HRC has not run a very good campaign and now finds herself in this pickle. But, I do know this: Obama will NOT carry Ohio and that, my friends, is the end of the Obama Magic Carpet Ride - right off the cliff, lemmings. HRC has a better shot of carrying Ohio. Ohio is a more middle-of-the-road values state, a centrist state. But we've suffered massive job losses and other GOP ills and are less likely to give McCain a free ride to Pennsylvania Avenue.

The Obama-ites have decided that anyone who is not on their side is against them. Okay. You are right. I am against you. And I will NOT vote for Obama in November. And for the record, I will not vote for McCain either.

The media have simply done all they can to destroy Clinton's campaign and make sure that the black dude gets the marbles. They started their "smear the superdelegates" campaign a few weeks ago just in case they have to be discredited to give the nomination to Obama.

Those of us who don't hold Hillary Clinton responsible for the mischief of her husband, and who can find a way to separate out the two, believe that she will be a fine President - maybe even in the style of FDR who used government to make this country strong, great, and admired the world over.

So, hey Democratic women, think you've found something unique and special here with Obama? No, you haven't. Is it too late to come back to your senses? YES YOU CAN!
