WE DON'T NEED NO DAMN PATRIOT ACT...
[Read the article: Bill O'Reilly's tortured logic]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]...to keep this country secure. In 2001, the FBI had hard copies of intell from their own agents from fax machines that they failed to read. They also had information from the CIA about these suspected terrorists being in the country and yet they couldn't pick up a phone book to see if they could get an address or look online at a BMV to get an adddress for any of them! We don't need to give up our right to privacy and give corporations amnesty from breaking laws to keep this country secure. If the Democrats do NOT take a stand on this now, I will leave the party.

GET OUT OF THE PARTY - NOW!
[Read the article: A new front in Berkeley vs. the Marine Corps ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]These left-wing freaks need to get out of the Democratic Party now, and join up with their equally outrageous right-wing fanatics and create a new party: STUPID AMERICANS.
As a Democrat, I am sick of these ignorant left-wing jerks screwing up our party with their outrageous, and totally off-the-reservation perspectives. Their actions end up hurting our party and do not reflect the majority of us, many of whom have served this country in uniform.
Our military is not here for them to abuse. Pick on Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield, Rice or an entire GOP party of neo-con zealots, but DO NOT PERSONALIZE YOUR BEEF WITH OUR MILITARY!
I'm sick of it - and I'm sick of them! It's these nuts that gave the right-wing zealots a crack in the door to begin with and gave us a GOP-controlled Congress and White House and now a U.S. Supreme Court.
SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN SAN FRANCISO! YOU DON'T SPEAK FOR ME!

AND THE POINT IS...
[Read the article: Cage match of the century]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]...WHERE WERE THE CANDIDATES ANSWERING THESE QUESTIONS? I'm not interested in their handlers telling me through filtered responses what the candidates would say, or what they mean.

HYPOCRITE
[Read the article: Quote of the day: Obama on Clinton ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Obama has been attacking Clinton for the last two months; first over the South Carolina flap, which wasn't even a flap, but nonetheless was enough for them to slap on their self-righteous indignation chips-on-the-shoulder, playing straight to character, I might add. Then it's all these veiled references, allowing the cult-like Obama-ites to do the dirty work for him, to the Clintons in general. Then it's their references in the Obama Stump Stew of Platitudes that anyone who dares asks where his original ideas for solutions, and where's his resume, that all of those people are cynics, naysayers, and pessimists. A page straight out of the Rove/Bush handbook.
Looks to me like McCain isn't the only one looking to continue the Bush way. Speaking of Bush, these two bear an uncannily resememblance: Neither one was scrutinized the media; both are/were resume-lite; both called themselves uniters; both referred to the government as a bureaucracy to be managed; and both were up to their butts beholden to the energy companies that were ripping us off - Bush with oil, Obama with nuclear power. And in keeping with Bush-lite, Obama will need a grown-up as Vice President, and learning curve.
For a uniter, this guy sure knows how to divide. If he is the nominee, as a Democrat I will not vote for him.

SEXIST REMARK FOR SURE
[Read the article: Quote of the day: Obama on Clinton ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Stay in denial-land, Obama-ites. It's just as Bill Clinton said of this campaign: It's a myth; a fantasy. Even Jim Jones was able to get people to drink his kool-aid!

Tough Cookies...
[Read the article: NYC voting snafu may work in Obama's favor]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]...we've moved on. And good luck proving that no one, or someone, voted for Obama.

SICK OF BOTH OF THEM!
[Read the article: Radical Muslims threaten those who dissent]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"As a Southerner..." oh my, God! And therein lies the problem: The guy doesn't even see himself as an American, he's "a Southerner!" Ugh! Gag me already. Like that's a badge of honor or something? Everyone knows the South is just about freakin' LAST in everything: literacy, education, skilled trades and labor, tolerance, and in paying their pro-rata share of the federal funds they demand everytime a hurricane blows their ignorant selves away (I mean, why should we keep paying to rebuild in a disaster area?).
And as for the Berserk Berkleys: They can fall off the face of the planet along with their right-wing zealot enemies. The two deserve each other. They, and a certain bunch in Philadelphia, lost their damn minds back in the 70's and never regained an ounce of common sense!
Both the left and the right make mockeries of their respective political parties; the left is the reason the right was able to get a foot-hold in the political doors of power and impose their stupid cult-like politics on the rest of us.
Somewhere in the middle of all this junior-high school food fighting are millions of Americans who are sick of both of these damn fools.
