"I'M EVERY WOMAN...LA DI DA DA..."
[Read the article: Don't call Oprah a "traitor"!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Say what?
Now, why would the woman who has made a gazzillion dollars off of women act so damn shocked and angry when women express their disappointment in her choice for President of the United States. After all, we can always back a man for President of the United States, can't we? Oh, hell, yes we can. And if Oprah has her way, that's exactly what our choice will be this November: Two guys. Let me get this straight: Oprah says it's okay for women to be free to vote for a man -just like her?
Well, hey, Girlfriend, get over yourself. Don't start preaching to the rest of us that we are free to make to make our own choices and then blast those who are choosing a woman over yet another guy. And we all know that little piece of crap came straight from the Obama strategy playbook too.
Wow! The Obama campaign gets real ugly real fast when things don't go their way. Hmmm.

Maria Shriver and the Kennedy Women
[Read the article: Don't call Oprah a "traitor"!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yeah, now here are the REAL women who epitomize the very essence of choices and freedom that Oprah must've been talking about! One is stupid enough to marry a Republican, the very sexist Arnold, and the others stay, or stayed, with philandering husbands because they can't defy another guy: The Pope. Whoa! Except for Caroline. And hey, she all but admitted that at the age of 50 she should "finally do something." Oh, okay. And I shaved my legs for THIS?
New Obama is Old Obama.

Is There Anything Sadder...
[Read the article: The GOP chases its tail]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]than to watch a bunch of white guys with a burned out ideology shuffle along, state to state, huffing and puffing, hoping beyond all hope, that there's still a Party out there...somewhere?

We Got Your Wiggle Room Right Here!
[Read the article: Quote of the morning]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Oh, wow! We are scared, man. Hey, somebody get a Democrat booked on Fox right away or else...or else...Big Bad Bill O'Reilly, another GOP nut with character, will do "something."
Yeah, Obama will come on. He'll sit down with ANYBODY. Just ask him.
Somebody tell Fox that they are no longer relevent to much of anything anymore; that the great experiment of right-wing know-it-alls posing as actual journalists covering actual news is over and it's been a resounding failure. Does anyone actually look at this channel anymore?

"Don't Cry For Me..."
[Read the article: The cost of defeat]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Why do we have a feeling that Romney will be just A-okay when all of this over? Chump change.

Obama Setting Them Up for Big Fall
[Read the article: California exits are looking up for Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Obama seems to be fantasizing about a large number of independents turning out to vote Democratic in the Democratic primary. He thinks he's on a mission, not a campaign; that he's leading a crusade, not running for elected office; that he's the next Messiah who is going to take everyone to the Promised Land if they will just stop worrying, be happy.
Well, independent voters are independent voters because they don't vote in Primaries and don't necessarily align with either party. They may lean one way or the other, but basically, they don't get involved in partisan politics. The fact that Obama doesn't understand that basic political fact is disturbing. Either his strategists are dumber-than-a-box-of-rocks - or they have already told him and he's not listening - or they haven't informed him. Either way, it's yet another indication that Obama is NOT ready for the Oval Office.
Typical of his age group, Obama thinks he's going to just skip over the hard work part and go straight for the 1st Prize. Now, that may not be so bad, but castigating Hillary Clinton as part of the status quo because she has put in the hard work all her adult life shows the ugly, contemptuous side of his generation. And as Obama gets further along in the process, his anger seems to be rising more and more. The guy who was going to change things instead is more likely to throw a temper tantrum.
Yep. Obama was right when he said he "wasn't vested in the battles of the sixties." He hasn't been vest in any battle, has he? I like my Presidents battle-tested and not wearing chips on their shoulders, thank you. We already had one of those - Junior Bush.

Aw, C'mon!
[Read the article: McCain swipes back at Santorum]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Five years of being tortured and held prisoner of war is enough to make anybody pissed off for life, don't ya think?
By the way, did McCain go and campaign for Santorum? Funny, how all these far right-wingers try to run back to some semblance of sanity and center when they are faced with being thrown out of office - as they very well should be, by the way.

Reach Across the Partisan Divide
[Read the article: Yentas for Obama!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]In keeping with Obama's position that no one is too repugnant to break bread with, typical Obama supporters help the GOP take back the White House by asking them to stand on corners for their guy. It would make a great movie-of-the-week moment if Obama actually stood for something other than change and hope, and had done anything in his life to prove it all possible.
Instead, spaced out Dems who want feel-good platitudes to believe in again, but don't want to do the hard work, are supporting this guy because "he's bringing new voters out to vote." Damn! What a guy. Let's give him a not-for-profit status and make him an organization called Obama Votes!
The country needs optimism but it also needs solutions to complex problems. Obama hasn't done the hard work. And he castigates Hillary Clinton as being part of the status quo - or it is really the generation that has done the hard work and taken the hard knocks and fought the battles that he is ridiculing?
