  • OH, PLEEEESE - STOP THE MADNESS!

[Read the article: Obama's double magic]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"The possibility that our nation's deepest wound, and the source of our political divisions, could also be the agent of our redemption is like a banner appearing in a darkened sky."

What ARE you talking about? Our nations' deepest wound is WHAT? I am not guilt-ridden over a damn thing about this country. I never owned slaves, and I never did anything but support change and laws that give all American citizens equal rights under the law, civil rights under the law, and the same chance at the opportunity that is supposed to be so American.

UNFORTUNATELY, THE AMERICAN DREAM IS NOW A FREAKIN NIGHTMARE FOR ALL OF US. So stop acting like Obama is the next Second Coming. He already has a Messiah complex. Yeah, he's intelligent; yeah, he's inspirational; yeah, he says all the right things. But intellectualism doesn't necessarily translate into competence, and all the pretending in the world doesn't make it so!

I want a President that understands the fundamentals of the job; who will get up every day and solve the problems of this country. I don't want a crusader who talks a good game, inspires like a Baptist preacher and then falls short in his ability to organize a government that is competent and capable. After 8 years of Junior, can we really afford another 8 year learning curve and on-the-job-training?

The media wasn't happy until it got the horserace that it so desperately needs for nightly news reports and political reporting. Obama can send them all thank you notes after March. They are lazy and don't want to do the research required to understand the issues, and explain the various proposals for solutions. They are responsible for propping up these Emperor's In New Clothes, and we are sick of it.

I'm not voting for Obama for president out of any so-called racial guilt and I'm not voting for Hillary because her last name is Clinton. I'm voting for down-to-earth - and that's not either one of THEM.

And you elitist intellectuals with your heads up your asses can stop shoveling this crap any day now because some of us Democrats are not buying it.

  • Pronoun Revelations - Was It Good For You?

[Read the article: It's my abortion, too!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"I never really thought about it for the woman," he told the Times.

It's amazing what crap men will come up with to rationalize their irresponsible behavior of screwing women without using a comdom. I guess with these guys, "the devil made me do it" just wasn't working, huh?

"Hey, honey, my life is richer because of all that irresponsible screwing around I did years ago. And I couldn't have ended up with someone as wonderful as you and the kids if I hadn't been out whoring around with anything that would sleep with me." Man, that's music to every woman's ears. What a guy!

These guys must be the male cousins of the guys whose women didn't have abortions and then claimed to anyone who would listen, "I was trapped into marrying her. She got pregnant on me."

You can bet they weren't "thinking about it" when they were screwing their little hearts out. Now they found God - well, great. But leave the pronouns where they belong - and that's not with YOU.

  • MEDIA IS LAZY, SELF-RIGHTEOUS, ELITIST - AND WRONG!

[Read the article: Chris Matthews is right ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The media abdicated its professional responsibility to report the news years ago- it's too busy trying TO BE THE NEWS and part, or whole ,owner of their self-identified newsworthy stuff and people, mostly celebrities!

The media are a major part of the problem. They fabricated this horserace between Clinton and Obama, not resting until they had spun themselves silly into building Obama a message and getting this thing "just right." First, they build her up, then tear her down. Then they build him up and now it's his turn to be torn down. Edwards? Oh hell, they've wanted him, to go home since last year and have done their best to perpetuate the haircut and big new house crap ad nauseum.

Gee. Why don't we just have the media pick the candidates. They are all so smart and so knowing. The rest of us are just here to keep the crass commercialism and greed alive and well in America anyway. That's our role as Amerians these days: Consume that which we do not need or want.

The media do not respect us, the viewers. They don't respect our democratic process, and they damn well don't respect this country. Here's a news flash for ya: We can go a whole month without thinking of Spears or Hilton or the paternity problems of some NBA player!

I'm glad the voters of New Hampshire shoved it back into their faces for a change. But, don't worry, as usual, they'll be over it in a New York Minute - or the next commercial break.

  • Oh, Okay

[Read the article: The K Chronicles ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I have no idea who this cartoonist is, or what exactly he's trying to prove. The cartoon is in bad form and if there's a message, I don't know which message it might be.

  • Visa - It's Everywhere You Want To Be

[Read the article: The plastic ATM machine]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I love the Visa TV spots that make fun of people who pay with cash - like money is a fungus or something. Because only smart people put fast food and $4.95 coffees on their credit cards anyway, right? And have you ever been behind someone using a credit card and the computer system won't "take it?"

    Employee: "It's not taking it."

Visa Smartee: "Try it again. I know it's okay."

Employee: "Okay, well now we'll have to wait for the system. Swipe it again."

Visa Smartee: "Oh, wait, I had it in there backwards. Now see.'

Employee: "Sorry, it's still not accepting it."

Visa Smartee: "Okay, fine! How much was it again? Let me get my change purse back out."

    Employee: "$2.03."

    Visa Smartee: "Okay."

Employee: "I can't break a 50, lady, see the sign."

Visa Smartee: "Geesh! (to her partner) Here, hold this while I get into my purse."

Meanwhile, cobwebs are being spun off the customers behind Visa Smartee because they were silly enough to think if they got into the Express Lane it acually meant something!
