Obama is a big "NO!"
[Read the article: Don't call Oprah a "traitor"!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]What a relief! I thought I was the only one who finds Oprah annoying and hypocritical.
She muzzles her employees and sets up a silly school where kids are treated uh....not well.
The cult of Oprah is as annoying as the cult of Obama. Well intentioned but in actual execution, not so wonderful.
We Americans have not done our homework on "Fresh Face" Obama. This is not the time to form a shallow cult based on untruths. Are we that starved for integrity that we would settle for Style over Substance?
Obama is not as he appears to be. If you look at his history you will see someone different.
Also, I found it offensive that Obama only trotted out his white mom when the occasion warranted it.
When Oprah adapted her deep southern accent when announcing Obama it was like watching Hillary Clinton in the Deep South. Both of their accents were a joke.
We need to dig deeper into Obama before we even start to consider him to be at the helm of our country. When I started reading more, I was troubled.

how does a self centered single father get off when he has two children to care for....
[Read the article: How does a single father ever get laid?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Dear Single Selfish Dad:
You can do what my therapist suggested....don"t!
Listen Bud, you have kids to raise and be a role model for. That should be your priority. If you do the dating thing you will screw with their tiny precious heads.
Man up.
Raise your children and after they are grown you can resume your selfish predatory ways.
I can tell you this in hindsight: All the kids in this affluent community whose parents went off on their own dating sojourns screwed up raising their kids properly and caused their kids to suffer. Then they wonder why their children are acting out or getting into big trouble.
It takes a steady-handed captain to helm the boat, not a by-the-wind sailor.

dems eat your wheaties....and take your testosterone.
[Read the article: McCain apes Bush on Iraq, as Dems stand passively by]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Dems have ADHD. We DO need to focus. We do need to snort some testosterone!
It is ok to get the aitch out of Iraq without repairing our destruction. The longer we are there, the worse it will be. We need to get out of Iraq. The Iraqi's and everyone else wants us gone.
We got out of Vietnam...we can get out of Iraq. We can't fix our mistake in Iraq, ever.
As a country we reacted out of shock and fear and allegiance to our President after 9/11, so I don't hold Hillary's war vote against her. Back then everyone was in shock. Perhaps Obama Hussein's vote meant something else? Or, perhaps it was telling that he was not supportive of our President during our time of National Crisis? Obama seems to be all oration! All style and no substance! His health care program is worse than Hillary's!
I am not happy about having the choice between Hillary and Obama. I will vote for Hillary because I am a nurse, and I do not trust Obama's soaring oratory. I do know one thing. McCain should not be President. I respect McCain but we do not need to be in Iraq for 100 years or 50 years or 20 years. We are broke as a country. Bush bankrupted us. He is no better than a drunken frat boy with his Daddy's credit cards. Cheney and Halliburton were his credit cards. We are maxed out.
We do need to go back to Afghanistan and finish our business with the Taliban.
Why are the Dems not taking McCain down with his stance on Iraq? This is insanity!
We don't need another Republican to hold office. This Republican administration has trampled all our Rights....hmmm....the only one we have left is the Right not to Quarter Soldiers.
America! We need to wake up and focus.

Am I the only one who thinks Obama did not vote for the war in Iraq because his middle name is Hussein?
[Read the article: It's OK to vote for Obama because he's black]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I am a Democrat and I am not voting for Barack Obama because I find him one- dimensional, naive, annoyingly uncharismatic, and disingenuous.
I wanted to vote for him but the more I researched, the less I liked.
