Joan Walsh lies on CNN to help Hillary

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Last night Joan Walsh continued her underhanded support of Hillary Clinton by telling a whopper every bit as false as Hillary's Bosnia tale. According to Walsh "Salon was all over this Bosnia story last week." All over? A search of Salon shows two War room briefs quoting other stories. No multiple columns from Joan ala Wright, ruminating on Hillary's ever-growing list of resume fabrications, no in-depth reporting or columns from other writers as with the Wright story, no reporting of the eruption of this story on the national stage the last couple of days, as Salon is continuing to do with the Wright "story". Two lousy war room briefs and that, according to Joan, is being ALL OVER IT. I'm sure there must be responsible journalists at Salon, but none of them seem to standing up to the yellow journalism being practiced by their editor. Joan Walsh and Hillary have shown themselves to be sisters in mendacity and deception - one is permanently ruining her reputation in politics and the other is taking what used to be a decent source for news and opinion down to the level of Fox News.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Unfortunately Ms. Walsh is taking Salon down with her. Every other commentator on TV last night said the obvious about Hillary's Wright comments - that she could have said what others have, such as McCain or Huckabee or HRC's own minister, to the effect that it was his minister's words, not Obama's, or she could have passed as her campaign had in the past -- the only two offering the lame "she was asked the question, what was she supposed to do?" excuse: Joan Walsh and Pat Buchanan (nice company Joan - Fox made you an offer yet?). Then Joan had to tell us Hillary wasn't lying about Bosnia, even as the video rolled showing her and her daughter smiling for the photo op with the little girl. Joan is proving to be every bit as good a liar as Hillary - guess they are made of the same cloth. Sad to see. Since Salon is no longer a site for responsible journalism and won't report on Hillary's Bosnia's lie, Carl Bernstein has a good write-up on it and the reasons why and her history of doing this on CNN's site.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]It ain't because of hate between the posters, it's because you are getting called out for the yellow journalism you are practicing on a daily basis: your (not-so-hidden) agenda slants every personal column of yours, every choice of what news stories to pass on, or for others to write about of Salon's coverage toward Hillary -- all the while you pretend to be objective. You want hillary to win, so wrigth gets featured day after day while Hillary's lies about bosnia gets nothing.
For those who missed it the whooper Ms. Walsh told to a national audience last night on CNN will be added.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]So Dave, your lack of response shows there is nothing showing that Joan has admitted her Hillary bias - that would at least mean she is honest - something she can't now say. But even if she did admit the obvious, she still should not try and slant Salon's coverage in such a one-sided way as been done here now for some time. No professional editor with integrity would do that. Nor would they start name-calling, which Joan has done to Obama supporters. For her and Ben Sen and Carville and numerous other Hillary supporters, I guess that's all they have let. That and dishonesty.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]and by re-reading Walsh's commentaries and/or by watching her on television see what a disservice she is doing to readers, voters and those she works with at Salon with her skewing of EVERY storyline toward Hillary while pretending to be fair. As I said before, I spent 14 years as a journalist at some good newspapers an some bad ones and not even at the bad ones did I see the kind of yellow journalism currently being practiced by Joan Walsh. Maybe reality-based is right, maybe like Hillary she is so deluded she actually believes she is fair - doesn't matter, liar or delusional, she shouldn't be editor at Salon.
