Original article: Heads should roll

and another thing

Why do so many Right wing pundits use references that put them on par with "God?"

Rush: "Brain on loan from God."

Jim Cramer: "In Cramer we Trust."

I thought the Republicans were the ones who wanted to put the "Ten Commandments" all over the place, because this historical document could cure all our social woes.

If I remember correctly like the first commandment is thou shat have no God but me.

Just a random thought in keeping with the Paglia essay format.

Why should anyone feel sorry for Cramer?

The Daily Show was initially commenting on ALL of CNBC.

It was Cramer and his huge ego that decided to engage Jon Stewart.

If he had just kept his mouth shut like the "Money Hunny," then we never would have been subjected to his Crocodile tears on Jon Stewart's program.

People are scared and mad. Those pointing fingers at the poor and claiming that the financial meltdown is entirely the fault of the working class trying to buy a decent house, are not only wrong, they are making the majority of Americans even MORE angry.

It is not very smart to keep poking at people who have lost their jobs and homes. Unless one is trying to start a riot.

@RFT

Yes I believe people who have lost their jobs are not to blame for not having a job, innocent if you will.

Lambs were not mentioned in my letter.

I do not know the actual number of people who purchased a home they knowingly could not afford, and right now I don't think I would trust anyone who claimed they could (too much public lying by banks is one reason).

With this in mind I tend to think that they (those who purchased a home they could not afford) were not the sole reason for our economic free fall.

My Uncle is a Republican/Libertarian and he once said that the only reason rich people agree to pay taxes is so that the poor do not riot. Kind of an assholey thing to say, but sound thruthy.

I'm sorr Ms. Brown

Dear Miss B Gurley,

I am sorry I was not tenacious, smart, intrepid, sexy or hot enough to listen when you spoke. That would have been awesome.

I was young and did not understand your importance.

Too late for me now (forty and whatnot.)

Perhaps one day I will investigate your influence.

I sure do hope you make me feel proud to be woman.

Tomorrow I will try to find the perfect outfit, matching accessories and tone of voice with hopes that they might land me a relevant job. Actually, any job will do...

I sure do hope cleavage is not a requirement :)

Maybe you know some strong powerful women (he he he I mean men) in business that might give a 40 year old "divorcee" with 3 kids a break.

You are only as old as you feel...

Making a mint off of fearmongering.

Oprah has mad a lot of money from shows that cater to the worst fears of parents. And she is not even a parent. She is also not your "best friend," but that is another issue.

I don't think we need celebrity advice on how to care for our kids. And I certainly will not support this unhealthy industry.

French Kissing her son?

Did that really happen? Isn't that molestation? I just can not believe that.

Good God the brutalization of women

is not limited to the Islamic religion for lord's sake!

I am so close to just outing every woman...

I know who has had an abortion!

Really!

There is a reason legislators will not call a woman who has had an abortion a killer. The reason is that just about everyone knows someone who has had an abortion. Enough with this fake outrage women.

Advice from parents with grown children...

I appreciate that parents with grown children are trying to calm those of use with kids still in elementary school, with words like, relax and lighten up.

Sadly things are a lot different in today's elementary schools than they were when I attended (the '70's) and even from a few years ago. Just a brief example Last year my son's Kindergarten teacher said that the district, due to test requirements, now expects Kindergarten students to complete 1st grade level work. I also have a son who is now in 5th grade and I can attest first hand to a radical change in expectations over a period of a few years.

I have been told by anxiety filled teachers that my sons, at various points are not keeping up and need to do more, homework, reading, typing, writing etc... I spend nightly at least 1 1/2 hours coaching homework. And when I reach my limit and tell the teachers that if my child is really not doing well perhaps he needs to repeat the grade, they look at me like I am insane.

My story is not extraordinary. And my kids all score in the above average range on the State exams. Parents are freaked out because many childcare workers are freaked out. Childcare workers are freaked out because voters are freaked out. Just a long line of adults dumping their fears and worry on kids. Blech!

Churches in court...

I wonder what would happen if All the Churches (whatever religious form) we put on trial? Crazy!

He he he @John Anderson

"Now that I'm older I realize that we are not unlucky at all, but rather possess serious personality flaws that make successful dating unlikely."

This might be the funniest thing I have read in days. Oh lord the pain of having deep unresolved issues, he he he!
