Original article: Who hates who in Iran

MULLAHS are MULLAHS. Period.

The mullahs may have long feared that change would eventually come in reaction to their abuse of the population. Many have moved the proceeds of their pilfering offshore, “just in case.” Some have built themselves Los Angeles and West Vancouver mansions, in anticipation that the gun might eventually not suppress the crowds in Tehran.

The potential for change is directly conditional on the persistence and endurance of the youth filling the streets of Iran. It will be unstoppable if the demonstrations move to the poorer rural regions of the country.

This genie is out of the bottle. Change may be slow in coming, nevertheless, it will come.

"Helping the average American?" .... not so much

Obama’s ideology is blinding him, and America isn't paying attention. His dearth of understanding on economic matters is harmful to the nation, and the manipulation is pathetic to watch.

Wall Street is quietly cheering and encouraging the moves of a neophyte CEO. You would too, if you controlled the game.

HOW SOME SIGNS OF LEADERSHIP? ANY SIGNS.

A SPECIAL PROSECUTOR MUST BE APPOINTED

A.I.G. has long been a national embarrassment.

http://pacificgatepost.blogspot.com/2009/03/aig-national-embarrassment.html

A Special Prosecutor should be assigned and given wide berth to hunt down the malfeasance.

MAINSTREAM MEDIA - RIP

IS THE FOURTH ESTATE A HISTORICAL CONCEPT?

http://pacificgatepost.blogspot.com/2009/03/fourth-estate-rip.html

AT THE HEART OF THE OBAMA PLAN

AMERICA IS BETTING ITS FUTURE.

It is being rushed into a transformation.

OBAMA and LOOKING BACKWARDS

Obama can be given a pass for not wishing to look backward.

The rest of the country, however, should look back.

AUTO INDUSTRY BAILOUT - THERE IS A WAY

BAILOUTS ARE COMPLEX BEASTS

Here is a workable plan with common sense for the U.S. Auto Industry -

http://pacificgatepost.blogspot.com/2008/11/solution-for-detroit-gm-friends.html

Do not leave it to Paulson or Congress to come up with a creative plan or consider taxpayers' interests.

There is much creative talent hidden inside the U.S. Big 3 that has been smothered by mismanagement and the UAW.

Original article: John McCain's female card

SARAH PALIN IS MORE THAN JUST ANOTHER STATE GOVERNOR.

She shook up Alaska to its roots.

McCain has made a bold and telling move selecting someone with Chief Executive experience – the only one to have any - of the four running for the White House.

PUT EGOS ASIDE AND THINK STRAIGHT....

OBAMA REALLY HAS LITTLE CHOICE IN HIS RUNNING MATE

At least not if he wants to guarantee his seat in the Oval Office. He really needs to pay attention because the Presidency is not his by a long shot.

Correction... current data suggests that Global Warming isn't... it may even be cooling.

It remains that we must reduce out imprint. We're making a mess out there. Consumption is the best place to start tightening the belt.

AMERICA'S BOARDROOMS ARE BROKEN... TIME TO RESTRUCTURE

How about starting the fix at the top... THE BOARDROOMS NEED an overhaul.

This is where much abuse of corporate America begins. That's where abuse can lead to this kind of "superclass" article actually having some credibility.

http://pacificgatepost.blogspot.com/2008/03/boardrooms-need-restructuring-and-not.html

Let's give common sense and responsible governance a nudge... before there's a complete breakdown of the system.

Eliot Spitzer and ETHICS

This isn't about prostitution or the avails of prostitution, but about a sad lack of ethics.

http://pacificgatepost.blogspot.com/2008/03/ethics-where-art-thou.html

Most unfortunate is that one of the few guys with the talent and tenacity to smoke out fraud and abuse, would be so insecure that his arrogance would destroy his life, and provide his past and current adversaries the platform for gloating.

Promises Personified? What?

This Democratic race is not Obama's because of a great ground campaign or even because of stated promises delivered in sermon invoking style.

Here is why an unknown only months ago is a serious contender for the most powerful position available to any human being....

http://pacificgatepost.blogspot.com/2008/02/obama-social-phenomenon.html

There is something disconcerting about so little experience, track record and opaque motives being another notch in the legacy of the outgoing President.

NOT A CHANCE .... but watch out Asia

The barricades around fortress America may be just rhetoric for now while the candidates cackle on with threats about NAFTA, but the stockade is coming. The strain on the middle class that is creating the Obama phenomenon will eventually demand that its income and jobs be protected.

http://pacificgatepost.blogspot.com/2008/02/americas-china-quandary.html

There is "balance" in the U.S./ Canada trade relationship. There is none with Mexico and none with China. Confrontation with trading partners is the easy part. The relationships are massively complex and real solutions obscure. Running off in the heat of debate isn't the solution.

AMERICA's REAL Free Trade Challenge

Fortunately the is balance between the U.S. and Canada. Balance in trade, culture, language, standard of living, common sense (some), political and social structures, and social mores.

Even with that balance there are some irritating elements in the trade game.

The most difficult free trade challenge facing America is not related to NAFTA, but to its relationship with Asia . . .

http://pacificgatepost.blogspot.com/2008/02/americas-china-quandary.html

There is no "balance" with Mexico and none with China. Confrontation with trading partners is the easy part. The relationships are massively complex and real solutions are obscure.

Neither Democratic candidate has solutions on free trade, nor do the Republicans. Running off in the heat of debate isn't the solution.
