Emmanuel Goldstein Lives!
[Read the article: Mission unaccomplished]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Osama Bin Laden is Islam's biggest media star cranking out videos (or so they would like you to believe). Bin Laden will last as long as there's an American plutocracy to profit, a buck to be passed, a public to be jived and a NeoCon left standing to fan the flames of Eternal War.
Yes, Virginia, as long as there is an Israel which can beg or purchase Made in USA weaponry, there will be a Bin Laden. Our undying principles of US standing alone against the eternal threat of THEM demand it. Our economy may crumble and the environment turn to Arabesque sands, but as long as there is a dollar to be made and worshipped, there will be an enemy. I guarantee it!

Hope
[Read the article: Bill Clinton: The Chris Matthews of South Carolina]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]re: "the bile that will be launched towards Obama from the currently pro-Obama right-wing noise machine if he's the nominee"
I believe we have legitimate reason to hope in this aspect and I'm not a Pollyanna by nature. The reason is that Obama polls well among the Evangelicals. His standing is only going to rise if he takes down their worst enemy, Hillary.
There's lots of people on both sides who are sickening of the right wing gasbag rants. If the racial screed amps up too loudly in the general election, it may backfire badly. The country is in bad enough shape both abroad and domestically without racial division being sown at home.
Social justice is beginning to play a larger role in the Christian mindset. More than a few Sunday morning sermons around the theme of "What would Jesus say to Rush Limbaugh?" is not unrealistic and the effect could be devastating to the Republicans. Support for John McCain in this group is not as strong as it might be since he's not a religious zealot so the famed Reagan coalition could actually splinter.

Illegality's Defender
[Read the article: Is Michael Mukasey prioritizing the harassment and imprisonment of journalists?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Titus Livius noted, "No crime can ever be defended on rational grounds". Rather than defend the administration's criminal conduct, it is far easier to persecute whomever unmasked the deception.
Michael Mukasey gave every indication of being untrustworthy at his confirmation hearings, but there was only token opposition to his appointment. The Department of Justice has become an Orwellian insider's joke for both sides of the aisle.

Obama might win in November
[Read the article: Undecided '08: Should I vote for Clinton or Obama?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Bill Clinton led the charge against the working class, which were the traditional core of the Democratic party, with his "Third Way" and "Radical Center" theories. Now his wife posits herself as a candidate for "Change" against all history and logic.
Hillary Clinton is willing to sacrifice a Democratic presidency on the pyre of her ambition, blooding Obama so badly that Republicans won't even have to look for lies to spread. What the public will have seen of her in action in the primary will be horrible enough that no one who is undecided will gravitate toward electing her.
How can ANY Democrat, who has the interests of the party at heart, support this noxious twosome for returning to the White House? Can they honestly believe that the Republicans, even in their weakened condition, cannot rise to occasion and slay a diseased beast of a candidacy like this? The GOP has held the White House for 7 of the last 10 elections. A Clinton redux is certain to ensure that it's 8 of 11.

The Oracle Speaks
[Read the article: Clinton more electable than Obama, Mark Penn claims]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yes, Mr. Penn. A person whose public relations firm, Burson-Marsteller, is a friend of Blackwater Worldwide, is certainly a person of integrity and good judgement on which you may rely.
He would never risk his well known, unblemished reputation putting forth anything which could in the least way be considered dubious or biased. Never could his opinion be considered tainted by the $5.5 million his firm has billed the Clinton campaign. Only truth from the purest fountain of wisdom could ever issue from his lips. As a paragon of virtue exceeded only by that of Bill Clinton, this must be so.
Let us all worship beneath the shrine of his faultless logic and understanding.

Don't Begin The Celebration Yet
[Read the article: Is Hillary Clinton's campaign in trouble?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Be still my heart, you’ve been disappointed before. Everyone thought change was in the air after the 2006 elections. Then we discovered the sad truth that Democrats in Congress would support Bush as heartily as Republicans.
She’s not dead until she breaks out the tears a few more times and the stench of flop sweat overcomes her most bewitched donor. The horror of a Clinton nomination has not yet passed. She may live on to usher in a landslide for John McCain.
Beware the curse of the Super-Delegates. The desire of the Democratic Party to self-destruct is a powerful and hideous thing.

So...
[Read the article: Romney defeats McCain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Seriously, does anyone really care what a group of post-teenage dorks who have never been laid thinks?
