This Is a Great Journalistic Tradition

of which Fox News is the standard bearer: Hire high-profile criminals to spout their opinions on what the non-criminal classes are doing.

G. Gordon Liddy, Oliver North, Karl Rove. Think what a draw Charles Manson would be. Perhaps a Firing-Line-type show with Manson and Cheney on opposite sides. That is, if there is anything they disagree on.

I must answer serafin's "Divert attention away from the economy"

This is not a matter of diversion of attention, and the economy, while a disaster of huge proportions, cannot be the only concern of the nation.

My State has big economic problems, but no one is saying we should forget about arresting and prosecuting criminals because we have more important things to deal with.

Crimes were committed. High crimes. And we cannot allow ourselves to give those in office a free pass on criminal activity (excepting only blow jobs) because of more important matters. Preserving the Constitution is every bit as important as the economy. If we refuse, now, to act against the assault on our legal system by the Bush Administration, then we will be telling all future Presidents: "Do what you want, ignore all laws and human decency, and you will never be brought to Justice."

If we fix the economy and ultimately sacrifice our Constitutional form of government, the victory will be hollow.

Walk and chew gum at the same time? I think we can.

Barbecued Pork Is About Right

considering that Rove's nickname around the gay bars in DC, where he has been sighted (but without Jeff Gannon) is Miss Piggie. At least that is more appetizing than what Preznint Butch called him.

I'm Not So Sure

he's right about that. I mean, I've never SEEN Ronald Reagan's birth certificate... oh, sorry, I guess I don't need to. His skin is white. That's good enough proof. And besides, his voodoo economics theories could ONLY have been concocted by an American loony.

Original article: Battling Dick Armey

Why is it

that these fellows want to parade their feelings of sexual inadequacy for all to see? Rush is afraid of a big Black man slamming it to him from behind? But Gingrey is genuflecting before Rush offering obeissance to the "giant".

And, of course Dick Armey must take his name literally to assert his dominance over the female.

Perhaps they should all consult with Vitter in the matter of diaper changing.

Original article: Romney gearing up for 2012?

And the Mormons now have to decide

Give their money to the Romney campaign or more millions to deny rights to homosexuals. Feeding the hungry and helping the poor aren't even in the running for the church, I guess.

Let's just hope that the Mormon Church becomes a HUGE albatross around his neck. Unless of course its leader has another "revelation" and learns that God now approves of same-sex marriage and that Blacks are not an inferior race any more. They are very good at changing the rules when it is politically expedient.

Well, if he can't fit a tour of duty into his schedule

perhaps some disabled vets can bring over a chain saw, remove a couple of limbs, and let him learn all about the "romantic" war he started and its results.

Hussein Kelley wrote:

"Can the Commander in Chief be Court Martialed?

It seems so much easier than impeachment. Just wondering."

And if so, can the right of habeas corpus be suspended?

Can he be imprisoned indefinitely?

Do his attorney's have to give up the right of confidentiality?

Can the evidence of his crimes be withheld from him and his lawyers for national security purposes?

Are we allowed to water-board a confession out of him?

While they were busy playing kissy kissy:

Did anyone ask Bush, "Would you be less likely to support McCain if you knew he had fathered an illigitimate Black child?"

FAUX WILL NOT SKIRT THE ISSUE

So what Brian is saying is, "Down with the pants! Up with the skirts!"

Original article: Quote of the day

My Letter Just Posted to Senator Doctor Santorum

Dear Senator Santorum:

Reading your column about how the "antislavery party" was transformed by its "Southern Strategy", is it fair to summarize it thus:

"The party of Lincoln became dominant in the Southern states by repudiating its origins and embracing racism."?

Yours truly,

William F. Orr

Original article: Four more years

Peace and Prosperity

Heavens knows what the Democrats would do with the Presidency, probably get us mired in some foreign civil war or something. And then how would they pay for it? Would they do the responsible thing and hock the country to the Chinese? No. They'd probably raise taxes on the dubious theory that we shouldn't spend money we don't have.

But seriously, Bush didn't say the unnamed McCain was a Conservative. He said he would bear the Conservative standard. You know, voodoo economics and all we hold dear.
