Hat Tip Londonlad

I had not seen your post. I completely agree with your lofty goal of pointing out the myth of Osama and his band of merry men. On the topic of 911, one should stick to the scientific facts. By the way, why aren't there any Arab names on the official passenger lists of any of the planes thought to be involved in 911?

Mr. Greenwald,

You have to be congratulated on your persistence in pointing out the hypocrisy of our rulers, not to mention the media and their lackeys. Here is a recent quote from you that I was most impressed with.

..."I tend, in general, to believe that more questioning of things -- including, perhaps especially, the most sacred pieties -- is better than less."

Since 'The Official Story' of 911 is perhaps the most sacred myth that is in existence today, it is nice to know that you support people questioning it.

Mr. Greewald,

The logic behind the argument of the government of Israel escapes me. They say that they will not stop their attack til Hamas stops firing rockets. Would even a written guaranty ensure that Hamas will never fire a rocket? No.

This rationale leads to the conclusion that you must cleanse the area of everyone, because that will be the only state of affairs when there will be no more rockets. It is brilliant logic, if your plan is to completely eliminate any and all resistance to your goestrategic vision.

One must conclude that Israel is really out to completely eliminate any Palestinian resistance, and that human consequences are irrelevant. 'We must destroy the village to save it'. Funny how we never remember history. Maybe we just choose not to.

Mr. Greenwald,

Apologies about the typo in your name in my last post. Just one related point about dynasties. The Bush dynasty could have an irreversible stain attached to it quickly, with George W.'s impeachment. The impeachment of Blagojevich was rather quick. Bush could be removed just as quickly. Cheers.

Prolific:

Has anyone noted how quickly WinSmith comes up with his extenisive posts? Is he just one guy, or is he cloned?

And I thought 911 truth caused a lot of argument. This Jewish/Anti-semitic thing is obviously a hot potatoe.

JFK and The Unspeakable:

Have any of you read this? Quite a potent examination of the situation that JFK faced when he came into office. It describes the transition he went through, from war supporter, to peace maker. It also describes the anger of the Military Industrial Complex, and how this lead to the conspiracy which resulted in his assassination. Has anyone forgotten that there are a lot of those cold warriors and conspirators still left in the establishment, and that they control from behind the scenes? Arlen Specter came up with the magic-bullet theory, facilitating the lone assassin theory of the Warren Commission. He is still in there, helping to massage the message to the public.

Obama is fighting against strong enemies. If he rocks the boat too much he will find himself eliminated. No wonder he is having to soften his tone. It really is like David vs. Goliath, but Goliath has the upper hand.

PS Bush was completely responsible for 911. Is this not obvious, given the great extent to which information is being covered up?. Where there appears to be a cover-up, it is usually because there is something being covered up.

Re: Rendition

All you people who argue that rendition is acceptable should consider this scenario. What if an American were rendered from the USA to France because the French felt that this person had committed crimes, or might commit crimes against France, or its citizens? I'm sure the US would be howling if Bush were 'rendered' for committing the war crime of authorizing waterboarding, even though he admitted as much.

The same argument that the US uses, should be able to be used by anyone else, unless you subscribe to the belief that the USA is 'exceptional', and is therefore above the law.

You either subscribe to US exceptionalism, or you believe that all countries are equal. The first indicator that there are 'good guys' and 'bad guys' gives the license which eventually leads to torture. I know that people still have a tendency to believe that might makes right. Of course, killing someone who disagrees with you is not the most sophisticated way to come to an agreement. One wonders how long we will continue to destroy the village, in order to save it.

@ P Jerome

P Jerome hits the nail on the head. Rendition is merely a polite word for kidnapping. My point earlier was that if a foreign country were to kidnap someone from the United States, and 'render' them to another country, then Americans would howl. Bush was perhaps a bad example. I'm sure a lot of people would like to see him rendered.

The main point remains. If the US can kidnap outside its borders, then so can other countries. There is either one law for all, or there are no laws, and everyone can claim exceptionalism.
