[Read the article: What "truly motivates" George W. Bush?]

Your reference to Chomsky, and how he dismisses theories about 911 as a wish for a simple explanation of a complex event, distracted me from the point of your piece. It does, however, give an opportunity to chastise Chomsky for his rather arrogant, and ignorant approach to the topic of 911 in general. Chomsky says, and you quote:

'If you look at the evidence, anybody who knows anything about the sciences, would instantly discount that evidence. There are plenty of coincidences and unexplained phenomena -- why didn't this happen and why didn't that happen? -- but if you look at a controlled scientific experiment, the same thing is true.'

From reading Chomsky's conclusion, it is obvious that he has not actually looked at the evidence. The official story of 911 does not stand up to scientific scrutiny.

You have pointed out that the mainstream press has fallen down on the job of exposing the nefarious goings on in the Whitehouse and in politics in general. The area of 911 is another one which the MSM does not want to touch with a barge pole.

The events of 911 allowed Bush to pursue his anti-constitutional agenda. I would love it if you would write about the issue after having reviewed some of the available evidence. I believe it is relevant to Bush's continuing power to manipulate the people anto accepting his goal of empire.

    Keep up the good work.

[Read the article: Face of a psychopath]

Mr. Podhoretz is merely the extreme face of what passes for a reasonable approach to government affairs, for those in charge of foreign policy in the United States. Bush and Cheney have not been quite so vulgar in their defense of their goals, but their disdain for the lives of the enemy, as well as their seeming disregard for the lives of American troops is very clear.

It is unforntunate that the Democritic party seems to be as supportive of this illegal war of aggression in Iraq, as the Republicans. It is very unfortunate that neither of the major parties seems to represent the views of the common man, their wish for good accessible healthcare, education, and employment, not to mention housing and food.

The American system is broken. There is no greater illustration of this than the fact that the mainstream media would give a platform to Mr. Podhoretz, to espouse such heinous views.

It is clear that the government of the United States has so distanced itself from the people, and has so shattered their faith, that the system as it was known seems almost beyond repair.

Mr. Bush has lost the moment. His ability to manipulate the people is waning. They are beginning to see through his facade, and realize that he is not wearing any clothes. When Bush has passed into ignominy, that will be the time when the real work of rebuilding your country will occur. You, and the world, are in for interesting times.

[Read the article: The CIA's torture teachers]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The real value of the torturing of innocents is the psychological value for the citizens back home. Jose Padilla was meant to be the 'foreign' American that would open the door to holding regular American citizens as 'enemy combatants'. And no one would want to resist their 'leader' knowing what the results could be.

Torture is of no benefit in stopping a purported terror attack. The Bush croneys have started to believe their own lies. Either that or Scalia is watching too much 24.

[Read the article: Krauthammer's plan to deny Palestinians gas and electricity]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The origin of recent hatred and demonization of Muslims and the Islamic religion relate back directly to the events of 911. The importance of this event can not be overlooked, when our 'leaders' continue to evoke this tragedy for their poilical gain.

This is the reason why studying the events of 911 is crucial to stopping the influence of these war-mongers on the general public. The scientific evidence against the 'official story' is overwhelming. If it can be shown conclusively that it was not Osama in a cave in Afghanistan, that was responsible for 911, then the whole pretext for continued wars of agression in the middle east will evaporate.

More people need to study the facts of 911. The dogma of belief in the official story is akin to enslavement. Only knowledge of the truth, and its exposure to the masses will set us on the course to real democracy and freedom.

I ask you to research the topic, and weigh in with your logical and impartial view. Your influence would help cause direct and beneficial change. WTC7.com is a great place to start.

I understand you do not want to waste your time on things that do seem productive, and that is sensible.

I was just listening to a debate on our dear old CBC about putting stickers on civic vehicles that say "Support our Troops", and I was reminded of the emotional impact of such a meaningless phrase. Of course it would be hard to find anyone who did not support the troops. The problem is that the people who do not support the wars can be branded as unpatriotic, cause they don't "support the troops".

The emotional response of people is easily manipulated, and I still think this is where you can get the biggest bang for your buck. If people knew that they had been misled by their government, and that there was negligence or even complicity that had allowed 911 to occur, this could wake the slumbering giant of public opinion.

I sent you the wrong link in another post, but hope that you will still take a look, if you haven't already. 911 is the key issue to sway public opinion, and to get your nation back on track. Your objective commentary, after a review of the evidence, would be very worthwhile. Hope you will take the time. Try www.wtc7.net for a brief introduction to the facts.
